Child dedication meeting | Sunday | November 11 | 12:00pm | Room 270
or Tuesday | November 13 | 6:00pm | Room 110
Child dedication | November 25 | 9:00 & 10:45am

Baptism
The Christian life is a journey. For many of us, the journey is lined with “spiritual
markers” such as baptism. Baptism outwardly declares an inward decision to
follow Christ. It shows a commitment of obedience to Christ by following His
example of showing life and death through immersion in water. If you are
interested in being baptized, please visit mygrovechurch.org/lifeevents to
request more information.

Weddings
We welcome members and regular attendees to unite in marriage at
The Grove Church.

WORSHIP
The Worship Ministry of The Grove Church exists to proclaim God's power, love
and grace as we engage believers in authentic God-honoring worship. We
do this while providing those that may not know Him with an opportunity to
experience and consider God's truth for their lives.

SUNDAY SERVICES

Our Sunday morning, 70-minute, multigenerational services are lively and
casual in nature. We incorporate modern music from today’s top worship
artists, as well as hymns rearranged in more contemporary formats.

Sermon Series
 LOST
Sundays | Beginning September 9-30
Do you have eyes to see people who are far from God? Does your heart
long that they may be saved? Jesus came to seek and save the lost. As
followers of Jesus, we are to live in the same way.

 THE ART OF NEIGHBORING

Sundays | October 7- November 18
When Jesus was asked to reduce everything in the Bible to one
command He said: Love God with everything you have and love your
neighbor as yourself. What if He meant that we should love our actual
neighbors? You know, the people who live right next door? In this series
we will be challenged by Jesus’ command to love our neighbors and be
given practical tools to put our love into practice.

 WINDOWS OF WONDER
Sundays | December 2-23 | 9:00 & 10:45am
Christmas Eve | December 24 | 4:30 & 5:30pm
In cities across the world, department store windows display a story of
Christmas. Each window provides it’s own creative perspective. In NYC
there is a walking tour of the windows of New York from Thanksgiving to
Christmas. Perspective is important. Our perspectives can be clarified
and enriched by seeing life’s events through many different windows. The
more familiar something is, the more valuable these windows become.
This Christmas season, look at the Christmas story through the windows
of wonder.

Parent Forums
MAKE THE MOST OF EVERY PHASE GUIDEBOOK
You have approximately 936 weeks from the time your child is born until he
or she graduates from high school. It goes fast, and kids change and grow
quickly. It’s as if they shift or move on, just as you’re starting to figure them
out. It all makes the responsibility to shape a child’s faith and character feel
overwhelming.

In a concise and interactive way, these parenting forums will provide you
with a guidebook that will simplify what you need to know about the specific
phase your child is in right now! Each forum and guide book is designed to
give you the opportunity to discover more about your middle schooler and
help you parent your child through every year; so you can Make the Most of
Every Phase.

In each forum you will discover:

• What is changing about your kid in their specific grade over the next 52
weeks. (Developmental changes.)
• The six things your kid needs most in this phase. (Love, stories, work, fun,
tribes, and words.)
• The four conversations to have in this phase. (Faith, technology, sexuality,
and healthy habits.)

 6TH GRADE PARENTS

student, share a shish-ka-berry together before your forum begins.
(Students will be in game/teaching time and D-team time while you are
in your forum.) Register online by September 16.

your forum begins. (Students will be in game/teaching time and D-team
time while you are in your forum.) Register online by September 16.

GROWTH GROUPS
Growing is an important part of becoming a passionate disciple of Jesus. In
every area of our lives there is an aspect of growth. We grow physically,
emotionally and cognitively. The same is true of our spiritual lives and our
relationship with God. This is the desired objective of our Growth Groups.
These groups are designed to be the place where relational connections can
be made in a more intimate setting to allow for deeper growth to take place
in people’s lives and their relationship with God.

We are excited to see our entire church heading along the same path of
discipleship and growth and we cannot wait to see all that God will do in and
through the people of The Grove through these Growth Groups.

MISSIONS
The Grove takes the Great Commission seriously, and believes that God has
given us the opportunity to “Go” to reach and serve the world for His
purpose. Our passion is to make disciples of Jesus Christ around the world. To
see lost people, follow Jesus and found people grow. To accomplish this task,
we have more than 15 missionary international partners and non-profit
organizations that we work with. The other part of strategic partnership is the
role we play as Christians Followers of Christ at The Grove can live on mission
through a simple Go path - pray, give and go.
PRAY
At The Grove, we believe that the first step into mission, is to pray. One of the
most practical ways to step into Mission either globally or locally is to begin
praying for God’s work and will to be done. Pray for our missionary partners
and pray for how God could use your life, are great places to start.
GIVE
Everything we have belongs to God. Giving is a great way to not only
engage in missions globally or locally, but a way for us to be aware of how
our specific resources are helping fulfill the Great Commission. Our church
has dedicated 10% of its budget for missions and your giving goes to support
our ongoing local and global efforts. Your above and beyond giving goes to
support short-term trips and special projects that will help us finish the task of
reaching the world both at home and abroad.
GO
This isn’t a kind suggestion it is a command in God’s Word, it is assumed for
all Christians. We want disciples at The Grove to go into their neighborhoods,
their communities and the world. We provide opportunities both locally and
globally to be able to go and have church wide opportunities to go together.
If you are interested in either local or global missions look at the annual
opportunities provided below or contact our missions team through
Pastor Scott.

LOCAL MISSIONS
We believe that service is a lifestyle and we want serving to be an integral
part of our lives. By serving our neighbors in the greater Twin Cities area we
have learned that the most valuable thing we can bring to a person is the
time that we spend with them. We just need to show up where God is already
at work and be ready to offer the greatest gift of all, the love and truth of
Christ, offered through us.

Grove Community Partnerships

Get involved with our Community Partner events by looking for various
opportunities highlighted, giving us the opportunity to serve and share as a
