Annual Electrical Preventive Maintenance

I General Requirements
1.1 Mobilization / Demobilization
1.2 Hauling, handling and lifting of materials
1.3 Cleaning of working areas and disposal of debris for final turnover.
1.4 Bonds and Insurance (Performance bond, 10% of total contract amount, CGL 50% of total contract amount)

II Rectification Works
2.1 Thermal Scanning
2.1.1 Conduct thermal scanning on all electrical equipment inside the substation before and after prevenitve maintenance
2.1.2 Submission of report with corresponding recommendation before and after PM works
2.2 Vacuum CB and HVSG:
Conduct preventive maintenance on vacuum circuit breaker and load break switch (HVSG) based on the following scope of
works:

(Kindly FILL these items. Indicate if INCLUDED or NOT INCLUDED to total project amount)
2.2.1 General cleaning of all panels and enclosures
2.2.2 Inspect physical, electrical and mechanical condition including evidence of moisture or corona
2.2.3 General cleaning and checking the operation of heat sink
2.2.4 Check operating condition of disconnect switches / fuse links with regards to their cut in and cut out capability
2.2.5 Retightening of nuts and bolts of terminals
2.2.6 Perform following tests for the disconnect switches
a. Insulation resistance test
b. Contact resistance test
c. Relay / Trip test
2.2.7 Check condition of battery charger
2.2.8 Conduct HSVG Hi-pot testing
2.2.9 Application of contact grease
2.2.10 Testing, calibration of protection relay and trip testing
2.2.11 Lubrication of air mechanism parts
2.2.12 Additional works (Sample)
2.3 Transformers
Conduct preventive maintenance on padmounted transformers based on the following scope of works (DGA and Oil Analysis
will be done, prior shutdown or before PM):
2.3.1 Check physical condition of components for leaks and damages.
2.3.2 General cleaning of transformer casing and cables.
2.3.3 Checking of elbow connector and application of contact grease on male plug
2.3.4 Checking of oil level, temperature and pressure gauges
2.3.5 Isolation of primary, secondary and grounding cables.
2.3.6 Extraction of oil for DBV test and chemical analysis (DGA)
2.3.7 Conduct standard testing of transformers:
a. Insulation resistance test
b. Winding resistance test
c. Transformer turn ratio
d. Chemical test
e. Dielectric breakdown voltage test
f. Oil analysis
g. Excitation current test
2.3.8 Reconnection of primary, secondary and grounding cables.
2.3.9 Retightening of nuts and bolts of terminals.
2.3.10 Checking / calibration of gauges

2.4 ATS
Conduct preventive maintenance on Automatic Transfer Switch:
2.4.1 General cleaning of all panels, components and enclosures.
2.4.2 Conduct functionality test
2.4.3 Check operating condition of the miniature circuit and components
2.4.5 Checking of fuse
2.4.6 Checking on Mechanical Interlock
2.4.7 Perform following tests for the circuit breakers:
a. Insulation resistance test
b. Contact resistance test
c. Manual test trip
2.4.8 Retightening of terminals and connections
2.4.9 Conduct electrical and mechanical interlock functionality
2.4.10 Additional works (Sample)
2.5 LVSG (Also for RLVSG, TCB, RTCB and RMCB)
Conduct preventive maintenance on Low Voltage Switchgears based on the following scope of works:
2.5.1 General cleaning of all panels and enclosure
2.5.2 For cleaning of contacts of all air circuit breaker
2.5.3 Check operating condition of circuit breakers with regards to their opening, closing, tripping and indication function
2.5.4 Perform following tests for the circuit breakers:
a. Insulation resistance test
b. Contact resistance test
c. Overload tripping test
2.5.5 Manual test trip
2.5.6 Draw out of breakers
2.5.7 Retightening of breaker terminals, nuts and bolts of busbars
2.5.8 Lubrication of mechanical interlocks
2.5.9 Additional works (Sample)
2.6 Tie Breakers
Conduct preventive maintenance on Tie Breakers based on the following scope of works:
2.6.1 Check physical condition of components for damages
2.6.2 General cleaning by air blowing or vacuum
2.6.3 Conduct standard testing for tie circuit breakers
2.6.4 Additional works (Sample)
2.10 Main Busduct and Busplug
Conduct preventive maintenance on Main Busduct and Busplug based on the following scope of works:
2.10.1 Check physical condition of components
2.10.2 General cleaning by air blowing or vacuum
2.10.3 Conduct standard testing for main busduct and busplug
2.10.4 Additional works (Sample)
2.11 Supply and installation of pilot lights (In ALL applicable equipments during the PM)
2.12 Supply and installation of OV/UV relay (Brand as per existing, In ALL applicable equipments during the PM)
2.13 Supply and installation of timer (Brand as per existing, In ALL applicable equipments during the PM)
2.14 Assistance in energization and power up (to Backup and normal power)
2.15 Submission of final test reports (Indicating standard parameters) with corresponding recommendations (book bind) and turn
2.16 Submission of certificate of completion
over and notarized warranty certificate
