An exciting opportunity has arisen to manage Global Rights Compliance’s projects portfolio.
Building on recent successes, we are looking for a creative, energetic and highly motivated
person with expertise in international development to play a key role in our continuing
growth.
GRC is a small but growing niche organisation offering a unique approach to atrocity crimes
and other violations of international law. Our “root and branch” philosophy combines
innovative full-spectrum accountability strategies, expertise in evidence-gathering in conflict
settings, and building the capacity of States to implement international humanitarian and
human rights standards. We also offer expertise in complementary areas such as business and
human rights, legislative reform, prevention of modern slavery (including human trafficking)
and environmental law. GRC advises governments, corporations and individuals to address
urgent human rights issues.
GRC exists both as a British limited liability partnership (LLP) as well as a not-for-profit
Foundation registered in the Netherlands. GRC is headquartered in The Hague, with a further
permanent office in Kyiv and other ad hoc field offices around the globe.
Head of Operations
- Preparing tenders: searching for and preparing tenders; building budgets; compiling
workplans and log frames; and conducting risk assessments;
Essential experience/attributes:
- Broad experience in team and project management, budget management and resource
development, strategic planning and capacity building, ideally in the justice/rule of
law sector, including in FCAS;
- Successful record of bid writing and budget building with a range of different donors,
ideally in the justice/rule of law field;
- Developed IT skills;
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, flexibility and an entrepreneurial
spirit;
- Good team player, positive attitude, flexible mindset, comfortable in working in multi-
cultural settings;

- Good team player, positive attitude, flexible mind, comfortable in working in multi-
cultural settings.
- Background in law including criminal law, human rights law, IHL/ICL, public
international law, anti-corruption, modern slavery and human trafficking, business and
human rights;
- Monitoring and evaluating (M&E) projects of all sizes, particularly using innovative
techniques to measure impact level change;
The successful candidate will be contracted for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of
extension, depending on satisfactory performance and continued funding availability. Salary
will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
