Introduction:

Saurabh Group, established during 1964 by well-known businessman Mr. Lila ram
Neupane with trading agency and fleet of bus services. After coming to Nepal from
Myanmar the group’s main activity was diversified after his son Mr. Bishnu Prasad Neupane
joined the group in 1986. The head office of this Company is centrally located in Tinkune,
Kathmandu, Nepal in its own corporate complex, Neupane Tower. We have more than

cement company named Sarbottam Cement Pvt. Ltd. under this big business
conglomerate and launched the OPC and PSC cement in the Nepalese market one year
before from its factory located in Ramnagar-5, Nawalparasi Nepal. Our products (OPC,
PSC) are approved by Nepal Bureau of Standards & Metrology (NBSM).

We are the first company in Nepal using ATOX TM VRM technology for raw meal grinding
and clinker grinding and having the production capacity of 1200 TPD of cement and we are
now adding one additional unit of installed capacity 1800 TPD which is under construction.
We are very delighted to launch such pronounced quality cement in the Nepalese market

Vertical Roller Mill (VRM)

The vertical roller mill (VRM) is well known as the preferred mill for grinding of raw
materials. Its grinding efficiency combined with its ability to dry, grind and classify within a
single unit gives it a decided advantage over other systems, such as the ball mill or roll
press. For the same reasons, the VRM is also developing as the preferred solution for
cement grinding.

How it works

The ATOX® raw mill uses pressure and shear generated between the rollers and the
rotating table to crush and grind raw materials. Feed material is directed onto the grinding
table by the feed chute. The rotation of the grinding table accelerates the material towards
the grinding track and passes it under the rollers. Coarser material and bigger lumps drops
through the nozzle ring – and is eventually recirculated into the feed material inlet. Moisture
evaporates almost immediately as the gas stream carries the finer portion of material to the
separator. The separator allows material that has reached the required fineness to leave the
grinding mill and sends oversized material back for further grinding.

Advantages of VRM Technology against Ball Mill Technology


1) VRM for cement grinding offers significant advantage in power saving compared to
ball mill. VRM uses 50% less power than a ball mill when grinding the same clinker
to 3900 Blaine.
2) Because the VRM has significantly higher grinding efficiency than a ball mill there is
much less heat input from the grinding process. Compared to ball mills where 75% of
installed power may be absorbed a good VRM will take only 50% of the installed

motor power as heat. The end result is that the product will not be heated up as
much as in a ball mill. This means that a lower degree of gypsum dehydration could
occur. This results in significant quality control of the cement.
3) Cement ground from VRM has better strength development than cement ground
from ball mill.
4) Faster initial and final set times are recorded in the VRM product than the ball mills
for same Blaine values.
5) For normal consistency the ball mill product requires 26.2 percent water by volume
of cement. The VRM requires 26 percent.

Importance of Fineness:
 Compressive strength of hardened concrete increases with increase in fineness.
 Rate of gain of strength increases with increase in fineness.
 Increase in fineness of cement improves workability of concrete.

 Fineness reduces bleeding of the concrete.

Expert Control Supervision System (ECS)

Our Expert Control Supervision System (ECS) stabilizes the entire plant, optimizes the
production, manages and corrects process disruptions and minimizes wear on the plant ’s
equipment – all to ensure optimum plant performance. It comprises sophisticated toolbox
and specialized application modules, ECS continuously performs complex analyses of a
plant’s process conditions. The benefits of ECS are

Sarbottam Shree Green PSC Cement™


To mitigate unnecessary environmental strain, we carefully mix the Ground Granulated
Blast-Furnace Slag (GGBS) – obtained as a by-product when manufacturing steel – with
clinker and gypsum in the cement mill.

caused by thermal shrinkage & heat of hydration without compromising quality and our
