Hi there!

I’m Nohan Byers and I’m going to be with you throughout this material.

In a job interview, the questions change depending on the employee that a company
is looking for. In some positions, professional skills are the most important, while
in others it could be the personal ones. Whatever the case, job interviews have a
general structure similar to the next one:

Rising and falling intonation in
questions
According to Crystal (2010) intonation is
“the melody or music of a language. It
refers to the way the voice rises and falls
as we speak”. In this opportunity, we are
going to focus on how the intonation
rises or falls in questions.

Rising intonation

Facts to know
Simple Past Tense
In jobs interviews you are asked for information about your job and academic
experience. To answer those questions, it is important to manage the rules of Simple
Past Tense. You have already studied Simple Past Tense in high school, so this is
only an overview to remember some clue information.

We used Simple Past Tense to talk about situations or actions in the past.

of verbs

Based on the Simple Past Tense conjugation patterns, we can say that there are two

Old English.

To form the Past Tense of a regular verb, it is necessary to add -ed at its ending, but there are some rules to follow.

-ed spelling rules

-ed pronunciation rules

Not all the words that end in -ed are verbs in the Past Tense. You can find -ed ending in Past Participle
verbs and in Adjectives. However, the spelling and pronunciation rules are the same.
