Lesson Plan in TLE 7 – CAREGIVING

I. OBJECTIVES
a. Identify caregiving tools, equipment, and paraphernalia applicable to
specific job.

II. SUBEJCT MATTER/CONTENT

Topic: Caregiving tools, equipment and paraphernalia according to their types,
functions and classifications.
Materials: Visual Aid, Pictures, Videos

III. LEARNING ACTIVITIES

A. Preparatory Activity

1. Routine Activity
Prayer, Greetings, Checking of attendance, Setting of classroom standards

2. Motivation
Picture puzzle game. Student must complete a puzzle as quickly as possible
using the pieces provided.

B. Presentation (Lesson Proper)

1. Let the students define and explain the term Caregiving.
2. One of the most important tasks of a caregiver is to make sure that he/she
uses the right equipment, tool, or paraphernalia that is applicable to a specific
job. You, as a future caregiver, therefore, should be well versed with the
different tools and equipment that you will use when you are already in the
health care profession.

C. Tools, Equipment, and Paraphernalia for Taking Vital Signs

C. Application
Directions: Compile pictures of the different caregiving equipment, tools,
and paraphernalia. Make a handbook that will be useful for a future caregiver
like you. Provide a summary which presents the equipment, tools, and
paraphernalia according to its classification, use and function. A sample guide
is provided for you.
