BRB High Temperature Resistant

Dark Paint (matt)


For application Temp up to 500°C

Description

This is an indicative formulation for a High temperature resistant Dark Paint based on SR
383 Methyl-Phenyl Resin. Customers have to check for the performance and eventually
adapt the recipe to achieve the required performances.

Zinc Powder 65 Zinc Dust 620 by CONMET or similar

Mica 65 Micro Mica W1 by Gadot or


Mica 105 (325 mesh) by Brenntag
Iron Oxide 65 Bayferrox T 303 or similar
Solvent Q.B. Aromatics , Ketones, Glycol Ethers, Esters
Thickener 0,1% in the paint Nuvis HS or Bentone
below product are also possible
BYK 410 for polar and medium polar solvent
BYK 411 for non-polar and med polar solvent
Post Addition under low shear
BRB Siloen LA 271 0,05% to 1% Levelling - Post Addition under low shear
in the paint either during Let down stage

Adjust viscosity in function of application technology (spraying dipping, brushing) as well


as tack free time by playing with solvent evaporation rate.
Sand Blasting or degreasing is recommended to improve paint adhesion onto the substrate.
Recommended dry thickness between 15 and 25 microns
Best mechanical performances achieved after 1H/200°C post curing (also in situ)
