This weekend, we kick off our Stewardship Expansion is ready to begin!! Join us TODAY at

Today, we are announcing a series of Cottage

Meetings to which the entire congregation will be
invited. These meetings will be held in October and
November with a small group of families invited to Hope Lutheran Church
each. During those meetings, we will explain our
pledge goals for Phase II and the pledges needed to
cover the operating budget for 2011.

We have an exciting year ahead for
Kidz Klub! Imagine a year of
monthly birthdays!
Your child will find out what it was
like to be Jesus as a kid…with lots of surprises
along the way. Games, food, service and fun with
friends…of course, the Kidz Klub way!
If your child will be in grades 1-5, s/he will not

Pick up a copy of the text at your favorite bookstore,
read it over the summer, and we‟ll dissect it together in

Volunteers are an essential part of Global Links’
operations. Volunteers sort and pack needed
medical supplies for shipment to hospitals serving
the poor in developing countries.
Some volunteers check equipment or help with
paperwork. More than 65% of the medical supplies
Global Links sends overseas are packed by
volunteers.
Our next to volunteer opportunity is Saturday, October
2. We will meet at Panera‟s at 9 a.m. for a quick
breakfast and fellowship and then carpool to Pittsburgh
where we will pack supplies from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Then back to Panera‟s by 12:40 p.m. Please consider
giving your time.

BIBLE STUDY -
PLEASE JOIN US!
Beth Moore's DVD study 'Esther: It's Tough Being a
Woman' will be our focus of study for 11 weeks.
We take an in-depth and very personal examination
of this great story of threat and deliverance. Beth
peels back the layers of history and shows how very
contemporary and applicable the story of Esther is
to our lives. If you've ever felt inadequate,
threatened, or pushed into situations that seemed
overpowering, this is the study for you. Just as it
was tough being a woman in Esther's day, it is
tough today. This portion of God's Word contains
treasures to aid us in our hurried, harried, and
pressured lives.
Childcare will be available on Friday mornings

needed), is $10.00. This is NOT a league so you only
pay if you bowl.
The first night of bowling is Sunday September 28 @
7:00 p.m. We generally bowl every other Sunday. The

The Haunted Trail
This is one scary night you
won’t want to
miss!
Who: All youth, 6th – 12th grade
When: Saturday, October 23rd
Time: approx. 5:15 p.m. – 10 p.m.
What: this service project is your chance to
dress scary, act scary and be scary, all to
benefit people with disabilities!
Where: Meet at Hope, put on your scariest
look, and then go to the Woodlands for some
seriously spooky fun!
About The Woodlands, Wexford, PA
The Woodlands is committed to enriching the lives
of children and adults with disabilities and chronic
illnesses in Western Pennsylvania by providing
programs that support and strengthen their
development of socialization skills, creative
expression, environmental awareness, recreation
and spirituality.
This 32 acre facility is a great location to host the
Haunted Trail, open to anyone, but specifically
designed for individuals with disabilities and
chronic illnesses and their families.

Thanks to our Gardening Angels!
