3. PURPOSE OF THE INVESTIGATION
‘The purpose of the investigation was to determine the combustible properties of
the Faced insulation material products using the SANS 1017-5 test mathod at
750°C.
4. DESCRIPTION OF THE SAMPLES
Five product samples (sx of each) were delivered to the FIRELAB for
evaluation. The samples subjected to combustion in the combustibility chamber
for evaluation were identified as follows:
Sample 1 - _ Factoryboard — White Metallsed Foll Faced (40mm x 80kgim)
Sample 2 + Factorybeard - Foil Faced (40mm x 80kg/m*)
Sample 3 Sonic Liner (SOmm x 18kg/m*)
Sample4 - Soundlite ~ Coral (¢mm x ‘sokg/m)
Sample S - | Duet Wrap (49mm « t6kg/)

7. CONCLUSION
‘The results obtained from the SABS 1077-5 test procedure showed that the
following products is regarded as non-combustible:
«60mm Sonie Liner (16kgim*)
+ 40mm Duet Wrap (18kgim?)
