1. Understandings Statement: In doing this activity the participants will begin to

understand how they can move their bodies in response to the music. They will
understand this in an organized, yet flowy manner. They will also understand how
and why every movement is strategically placed in a specific part of the song.
Participants will also be able to understand the musical purpose of a song.

- I can use my ears to listen to the music to here why specific parts flow together.

5. Assessment: I will informally ask questions and observe

- I will observe as the participants follow my moves.
- If the moves are too complex I will come up with a strategy to tone it down.
- I will simply do snaps to let everyone get back to the beat if they are lost.
- I will ask questions on what they thought of the moves, songs and or complexity.
6. Extension: To make this experience longer I could do many things. I could choose a
longer song that will require more dance moves. I could come up with moves that are
less repetitive. Another thing that I could do is make the participants sing the chorus
with me. These could all serve as ways to keep them occupied and extend the
process.
