Abstract
PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk. Unit Cirebon City has implemented the Total Productive
Maintenance in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the overall manufacturing
company. However, in practice is still not optimal seen from not achieving production targets. The
study aims to measure the effectiveness of the equipment value, find the root cause of the problem
and propose improvements. The study was conducted on a machine pellet mill during the period from
December 2015 to have the highest level of downtime. The study began by measuring attainment
Efectiveness Overall Equipment (OEE), then identifies six big losses that occur. The results showed
that the average value of OEE On pellet mill machinery amounted to 85.22%, the value of the
effectiveness is quite good because the standard value for the company's world-class OEE ideally is
85%. The corrective actions proposed to PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk. Unit Cirebon is an
increase in the autonomous maintenance, improve the implementation of 5S (quick, neat, rehearsal,
patient, industrious) and as well as monitoring the operator about the cleanliness of the workplace.
