Vertical Panel Layout
The most used economical method for fixing facade cladding to aluminium
substructures is a design using aluminium blind rivets.
A special feature to optimize substructure and panel size ALUCOBOND
should be supported on all four sides. This variation of substructure is
simple to assemble and contributes to easing the installation.
Please note:
Use certified quality blind rivets with stainless steel mandrels only.
· shaft dia. 5 mm
· head dia. 11, 14 or 16 mm
· Thickness to be riveted = total material thickness plus 2 mm
· to allow for thermal expansion and contraction, rivet holes in ALUCOBOND
panels must be sufficiently enlarged.
· for stress-free riveting of fascia panels, a rivet attachment jig should be
used (clearance about 0,3 mm).
· spacings between rivets depend on expected actual windloads.
