or size 10 thread ( 18 yards )
CC ( about 1 and 1/2 inches )
Hook: Size 4/2.0 for size 5 thread
or 7/1.65 mm for size 10 thread
Dimensions: about 8 inches from
the tips of his ears to the tip of his tail

With MC thread of choice, ch 4, sl st to form ring,
Rnd 1 ch 2, 15 dc in ring, ending with a sl st into 2nd ch of ch 2 at beg of rnd,
Rnd 2 ch 1, turn, sc in same st, sc in next dc, ch 3, sl st into top of last sc made, ( ch 3 picot ) sc in next
3 dc, turn, holding the last lp of each st on the hook sk next 2 sc, 3 tr in next dc, ( should be the same one
as the sc with the ch 3 picot ) yo, draw through all lps on hook, ch 1, turn, sl st in same dc as last sc
made, sl st in next 2 dc, sc in next dc, ch 3, sl st into next dc, sl st into ch 3 lp, ch 1, sc in same lp, hdc in
same lp, 2 dc in same lp, ch 3, sl st into 2nd ch from hook, ch 1, sl st into top of last dc made, ( one ear
made ) 4 dc in same lp, ch 3, sl st into 2nd ch from hook, ch 1, sl st into top of last dc made, ( second ear
made ) 2 dc in same lp, hdc in same lp, sc in same lp, sl st into same lp, sl st into next 2 dc sc in next 4
dc,turn, sk next 2 sc, holding the last lp of each st on the hook, 3 tr in next sc, yo, draw though all lps on
hook, ch 1, turn, sc in into same dc as last sc, ch 3 picot in last sc made, sc next dc, ch a 6 inch tail, sc in
2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch st back up to the body, sl st into same dc as last sc made, sl st into 1st sc
of rnd, End off, weave ends in.
Whiskers tie a strand of contrasting thread in center dc on cats face, split thread with a needle into
individual strands, trim even. Block or press with a pressing cloth so tail lays flat. Enjoy
