Retail Merchandiser

Summary:

Our merchandisers play a critical role in helping our retail business customers best market and manage their inventories.
Successful merchandisers are friendly, intelligent, reliable, self-starters who have a strong work ethic and a great
attention to detail. Merchandisers implement plan-o-grams, set up displays, restock shelves, install security fixtures and
complete both surveys and audits, amongst other responsibilities. While an entry level position, due to the company’s
growth plans, there are leadership opportunities for those who have a passion for people and performance.

Essential Job Functions:

 Computer literate with daily internet access and ability to access email. Must be able to work effectively in web-
based applications, email applications
 Accurately work within web-based reporting applications to indicate work availability, check schedule for work
assignments, accept work assignments, receive work documentation and information, record work start and
completion times, record work mileage, record work expenses, record work time and attendance, complete
training activities, report in-store survey, capture & upload store photos.
 Must be comfortable utilizing Technology (i.e. smartphones and handheld devices)
 Adheres to all deadlines as assigned by the District Manager and/or other upper management
 In-Store Field Services Requirements:
o Executes shelf heights/profiles and/or re-profile categories
o Tagging/Labeling items
o Sorts and distributes merchandise to various locations throughout store
o Ensures that work area is clean and safe
o Ability to adjust pace and tasks as needed and possess the ability to work cooperatively with other
employees and third parties
o Ability to work in a team environment and follow directions
 Additional Requirements:
o Ability to make decisions about proper safety
o Ability to adhere to Footprint Uniform and physical appearance policies
o Ability to complete appropriate paperwork and online data entry on a daily basis
o Ability to manage the appropriate number of hours used to obtain goal objectives, ensures that all
payroll hours and all other necessary information (survey data and/or store photos) are entered into the
automated payroll system on a daily basis according to strict reporting timelines
o Ability and willingness to be exposed to heights while on stools and/or step-ladders
o Ability to work independently with little nor no supervision
 Maintains confidentiality of all information processed
 Any other reasonable request related to the job
 Physical Demands:
o Occasionally (up to 33% of time): Sitting, Climbing, Crawling, Exposure to Marked Changes in
Temperature and Humidity, Lifting up to 100 lbs. but only with assistance from another person
o Frequently (33%-66% of time): Walking, Bending, Stooping/Squatting, Kneeling, Pushing/Pulling, Use of
Hands & Arms in repetitive manner, Lifting up to 60 lbs.
o Continuously (66%-100% of time): Standing, Reaching, Handling, Lifting up to 40 lbs.
