Job Description : Senior Procurement Manager, India & SAARC.

Function : Supply Chain

Reports to : Procurement Leader Turkey, Middle East, Africa and Asia

THE ROLE

The role supports business of 500 crs business (Own Plant and 3P) as Sourcing Lead for all spend in Direct
Materials (chemicals & packaging), Indirect materials, Equipment, Services for all India and SAARC countries.
Global sourcing and product Harmonization

ROLE DETAILS

This position authorizes the following:

 Decide where to buy which goods or services and under which conditions
 Work with Supply Chain team on proper planning process to make sure materials reach site and 3PM in
time
 Work with Quality department to resolve quality issues which cannot be resolved by the Quality team
themselves.
 Lead procurement team, based in Mumbai
 Cooperation with local, regional and global stakeholders to assure a smooth operation
 TRAVEL: Domestic to Visit Plant Site/3P/2P, Research & Development center, suppliers and
internationally on a need based.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 Contract Review on an Ongoing Basis.

 Comparative Quote Analysis and involved in conducting commercial negotiations.
 Provide seamless supplier management and compliance support.
 Coordinating activities with supplier managers globally.
 Assess the materials related risks, develop and execute to action plans.
 Finalizing contract with complete documentation in accordance with procedures.
 Strategic Sourcing and preparing the financial/ cost analysis.
 Managing inputs of raw materials.
 Total Purchase of 500 Mn including Non inventory items.
 Develop and implement country/cluster purchasing strategies of the chemical, packaging, in directs and
equipment categories in line with respective global/regional procurement strategies
 Manage total cost of ownership of the categories, develop new suppliers, manage supplier relationship, and
achieve annual cost savings target
 Develop and continually improve purchasing policies, monitor and continually improve purchasing processes
and practices
 Hire, develop, retain, and appraise purchasing team members

 Collaborate with relevant business units and functional teams for the greatest level of synergy, such as quality,
inventory, cash flow, speed to market

ERP:

Managing the ERP:

o Responsibility of a Custodian / Process owner,

o Maintaining and administering Item Master and Vendor Master
o PPV and Std Cost Review
o Training Users

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience:

 Graduate with PG Diploma in Materials Management / MBA in Operations/ Supply Chain.

 Professional credential in purchasing would be a plus. Overall experience of 10 -12 yrs, Solid track records
in chemical purchasing fields, in-depth knowledge in business operations Min 3 yrs of experience in similar
position.
 Strong exposure in integrated financial systems
 At least 3 years Post Qualification in Similar Profile, eg. Specialty Chemicals//FMCG Industry,
 Strong exposure on ERP, Strong drive for Continuous Improvement, Strong Commercial Acumen
 High degree of numerical ability and logical reasoning Should be well versed with international taxation,
detailed procurement and accounts receivable knowledge, Complete awareness and hand-on experience
with the GST system and running import operations
 Should be conversant with international contracts and its documentation, ERP knowledge.

Capabilities and Strengths:

1. Self-starter, mature person, good communicator, result-oriented, get things done;

2. Bachelor degree, or above, gained from a recognized university, major in chemistry, chemical engineering,
polymer, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, economics, business administration;
3. Solid track records in chemical purchasing fields, in-depth knowledge in business operations;
4. Good command of English, both in written and oral;
5. Can speak at least one local dialect in the country/cluster;
6. Can travel frequently within the country/cluster;
7. Professional credential in purchasing would be a plus
