Say “Jazak allah”

I was working in the office when Sameeha came inside. She said “look I have
surprise for you”. She handed me a drawing that Teacher Nur had done. She said
“it’s princess Elsa and it’s for you”. I said to her “okay that’s nice, now you need
to go back into the classroom” to which she replied “no I need to stay here and
you need to say Jazak allah to me, I gave you surprise”.

Her statement made me laugh as I did forget my manners since she was
disturbing me. Alhamdullilah, that Sameeha has a strong identity as Muslim and
she knows about Islamic expression and manners.

Much the same the other day when she heard me cough she said “bismillah”.
When I said jazak allah to her she reminded me to say “alhamdullilah.

As muslim’s we must always show gratitude to Allah swt first. It is in An-Nur

philosophy that we enhance the moral waazi within the child so that they always
choose to do the right thing to please Allah swt which Sameeha Masha allah has.

Insha allah, I will continue to further develop Sameeha’s identity as a muslim,

enhance moral waazi within her and to learn with and alongside her.
