Each day, as I come to know you more and more, I am
encouraged. I am blessed by the shaping and molding of
your hands. Continue your work in me, Lord, until I shine
your light as bright as day! I want the world to see the hope
I have in you...the hope you also offer to them!

My Portion…
"… My soul is downcast within me. Yet this I call to mind and
therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are
not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new
every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, 'The
Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.'"
Lamentations 3:20-24
Oh Lord, you see my heart and know my sorrow. Thank you
for the hope you give. I am waiting upon you, Lord, knowing
that your compassion never ends. I trust you, for you are
forever faithful. I will not be consumed, because you are with
me! Thank you for the strength and power you give when I

experience trials in this life, you promise us that better

Set Free…
"Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble,
and keep on praying." Romans 12:12
I am so thankful, Lord, for your gift of hope! Through
Christ, you have given us a way to live in freedom. No
longer are we bound by the troubles of this world. You
have come to set us free! As I daily offer my heart to you, I
ask that you guide me and direct me in your ways. Help
me to not allow the turmoil I see around me distract me
from the beauty in you. I am trusting you, Lord and my
soul rejoices in your holy name! Amen.

Guide Me…
"Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me
in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and
my hope is in you all day long." Psalm 25:4-5
Lord, I long to be close to you and continue to deepen my
relationship with you. Teach me your ways and guide me
along your paths. I know that your ways are the best ways,
for you are God and my Savior. Help me to look to you for
direction. Sticking to my ways I get easily lost and confused.
But with you, I am safe and the way is clear. My hope is in
you for I know you have my best interests at heart. Change
me, Lord, and empower me to live the life that you have
planned for me. In Jesus' name, amen.

Unshakeable Hope…
“This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.

Oh Heavenly Father, I am so grateful for your gift of
hope! No matter what happens in this life, I know that I am
safe with you. Your promises are trustworthy and true. The
waves may crash all around me and the winds of mighty
storms may blow, but you remain steadfast and sure. You
are unshakable and my future is secure with you! Thank

Carry Me…
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will
give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for
I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for
your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
Matthew 11:28-29
Jesus, today I come to you burdened. I need you. I need your
strength! I can't do this on my own. Your word promises that
you will welcome me when I come to you and so I come.
Help me give up control and rely on you. Teach me how to be
yoked with you and allow you to guide me. I know I don't
have to walk this road alone. You are with me. You are
strong enough to handle all my burdens. Carry me, Lord, and
give me rest. Thank you, Jesus! Amen.

Renewed…
"But those who hope in the LORD will renew their
strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will
run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Isaiah 40:31
Lord, I am placing my hope in you. You give me the strength
to carry on in the midst of trials. No matter what I face
today, I know that with you, I can stand firm. Your loving
hand supports me in my weariness as you smooth out the
way before me. Your guidance is a constant encouragement

Trusting You…
"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord.
"They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a
future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11
Thank you, Father for your guidance. Sometimes I don't
understand the trials and challenges that come my way, but
I trust you. I know you will always bring something good
from a difficult situation, for you see the big picture. I see
only a snapshot. I trust that your plans are always good and
even though I may not know where you are leading me, I will
follow because your way is always better than mine. You
give me hope for my future and I trust you! Strengthen me
as I seek to follow you. In Christ’s holy name, amen.

My Protection…
"My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from
Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my
fortress, I will never be shaken" Psalm 62:1-2
I turn to you, Father, when I am weary and troubled. You
are my protection and my strength. In your comforting
arms I always find rest. No matter what I face in life,
the truth of your salvation encourages and calms my
soul. You are the firm foundation upon which I stand and

I am so thankful, Lord, for what you have prepared for

Lord, you are so great! When I rise each day, I think of you
and praise you for your power and might! Your love
envelopes me as I take my first steps and covers me as I go
through my day. Thank you for watching over me and guiding
me as I face challenges and obstacles in my path. You are my
place of rest and in you I am refreshed! Thank you, Father!

Far Above…

Heavenly Father, I praise you for your perfect
timing. Everything you do is good and lovely and right. I
know this, Lord, and yet, I cannot understand how this can
be for your ways are far above me. But, I trust you and I
trust your plan! Thank you for placing hope in my heart as

Through Weakness…
"But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my
power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast
all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s
power may rest on me." 2 Corinthians 12:9
Lord, I feel so ill-equipped to handle the challenges that I
am facing. I am so weak and powerless. However, your
word tells me that it is in my weakness that your power is
demonstrated! Work through me, Lord! I am willingly
stepping out of the way so your power and your strength
will be perfected. May your name will be glorified today!

Restoring My Strength…
"The Lord will guide you continually, giving you water when
you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a

I look to you, Father, when I am tired and weak, knowing
that you will refresh me! Thank you for the strength you
give! Obeying you and following your will fills me with
energy and brings new life from within me! Your care is a

Back Again…
"I will watch over and care for them, and I will bring
them back here again. I will build them up and not tear
them down. I will plant them and not uproot them."
Jeremiah 24:6
Thank you, Father, for never letting go of us, even when we
stray! I am filled with comfort knowing that you are
watching over those close to my heart. I know that one
day, you will draw them back to you again! Thank you for
what you will do in their lives as you strengthen them. I
know they are safe with you forever! Their future is
securely in your loving hands and I am placing my hope in

Compassion…
"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about
everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for
what He has done." Philippians 4:6
Thank you, Father that I can come to you with any concern
or need that is on my heart. Your compassion is great! I am
amazed that you care about even the smallest of worries I
have and that you invite me to leave them at your feet.
Thank you for easing my burden and removing my fear.
With you I can rest knowing that everything is in your
capable hands. I trust you, Lord! In your strong name I

You Know…
“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all
my tears in your bottle. You have recorded
each one in your book.” Psalm 56:8
Oh God, I know that you do not watch indifferently from afar
as I endure suffering. You are a God who cares. You love me,
Lord, and I know you are right beside me in my trial. You
know my heart, and you understand my pain. Your
compassion is great as you walk with me each step of the
way. Thank you for helping me to make it through each hour
of each day as I travel through this valley. In Christ’s name,

You Are Bigger…
"Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed
within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God." Psalm 43:5
Some days, Lord, I feel a shadow come over me. Pressures
and conflicts create turmoil within me and try to pull my
eyes away from you. My heart becomes sad but it shouldn't
be for you are my God! You are bigger than today! You are
stronger than my troubles. Thank you for all you have done
in my life and for all you will do. In you I find redemption
and healing. You give me strength and courage to face
everything in my path. In Jesus' name, amen.

Lifted Up…

I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold
you up with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
When troubles assail me, Lord, it is my inclination to be
afraid. But your word tells us over and over not to fear!
Thank you for walking with me during my trials. You give me
courage and strength to face all that is before me. I am
encouraged remembering that you are lifting me up and
giving me victory over this challenge as I look to you.

 So Close…
“The Lord is close to the broken hearted; he rescues those
whose spirits are crushed.” Psalm 34:18
I’m clinging to you, Lord! My heart is aching and I feel so
alone. And yet, I am encouraged for I know that you
understand. Please heal me and enable me to move
beyond this pain. Your compassion is great and I know
that you are here. Thank you for the promise of your daily
presence! Rescue me, Lord. I am looking to you and
know that you will carry me through. My hope is in you
alone. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Even Though…
“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be
afraid, for you are close beside me.” Psalm 23:4
Thank you, Lord, for walking with me as I go through this
trial. Your closeness gives me comfort and strength. I run
to you for protection knowing you are faithful. Just as a
shepherd watches over his sheep, I know you watch over
you and I am safe. Thank you, Lord for your constant love

Be Still…
“Be still and know that I am God.”
Psalm 46:10
Sometimes the world seems to be spinning out of control.
Circumstances are chaotic and confusing. But, when, in the
middle of my frantic day, when I am overrun with stress, I am
reminded to simply stop and focus on you. I close my eyes
and breathe, and your calming spirit hovers over me, helping
me to regroup. You are God and in you I find my peace.

Do Not Be Afraid…
"Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will
personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will
neither fail you nor abandon you.” Deuteronomy 31:8
Sometimes, Lord, I am discouraged. I know I shouldn't be,
for your word promises that you will never fail me.
Sometimes, though, when I get to the end of my rope, I am
afraid. I feel lost and alone and under this heavy burden. I
know that this time is only temporary, but I feel so
weak...so vulnerable. Strengthen me, Lord! Give me the
courage, wisdom and stamina that I need. I am feeling
worn down, but I am trusting you! In your name, amen.

Beyond the Clouds…
“Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens; your
faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.” Psalm 36:5
When I feel lost and alone, I need only remember your
great love for me and I am encouraged! People may fail
me, but you never will. It is impossible, Lord, for you are
perfect and your love is unfailing! Thank you for caring
about me and about what I am feeling. Your comforting
presence helps me to get through each hour of each day
with hope. I give you praise for your faithfulness! In your

Rescued…
“I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you
and I will rescue you.” Isaiah 46:4
Thank you for your promises! I know you are faithful and I
can trust you at your word. You made me and know all
about me. When I am weak and burdened, you carry me
and keep me in a place of safety. Thank you for meeting all
my needs and always watching over me!

Shouts of Joy…
“Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.

Heavenly Father, your word gives me hope in the midst of
my sadness. So much as happened that is causing me to
feel disheartened. However, I trust that this is only for a
time and as I continue to look to you, you will turn my
mourning into gladness! I am praising you for what you
have planned and am singing with shouts of joy for what
you will do! In Christ’s name, amen.

I Am Heard…
"When I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving
me the strength I need." Psalm 138:3
Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayers! You give comfort
and strength, reminding me that I am never alone. I can
walk forward with confidence, knowing that you are by my
side, guiding and encouraging me. On the days when I feel
I can't carry on and that I don't have the strength to move,
I cry out to you and you carry me. Thank you for your
compassion and for rescuing me when my spirits are
