08/29/2018 ; To: Judge Hogan mig seP -6 PHS Fro): ED (Victim Mother) In regards to the case of: District Court Case # @mmmammm Defendant Alec Cole Tate Your Honor, | am writing this letter on the behalf of my daughter and our family. When was first told what had happen to my daughter | was very upset and mad just like any parent would be. But now that my daughter has actually told me the truth about what she had done a couple of months ago day the of the first court herein | think it was, | was very disappointed in her and her actions and she feels really bad about this. ‘My daughter lied to the defendant about her age. Of course he believe her but when he actually found out her real age he did broke things off with her she said to me. That made my daughter upset. | told my daughter what if someone girl do to her brothers like she did to Alec. Its wrong and you should not have lied about your age. | told my daughter she knew better and that you cannot play with someone life like this. {believe that if Alec knew that my daughter was underage that he would have not continue whatever relationship that they had. | believe in justice and | am asking the court to not punish this young man base off of someone else lies. Please put yourself in his shoes, he is in jail because an underage child lied about her real age and they had sex. But only because again like | said he thought she was at the age to consent. When I saw Alec in Court a few months ago for the first time, | felt he does not pose a threat to the ‘community. | don’t know if he have a past record or not but for this he should not be in jail for. Please release him and clear his name. This cannot be a case for the city to win, this is someone life here that we are talking about. If anyone is a victim | believe that Alec Tate is the victim because he trusted and believe that my daughter was honest with him about how old she was and when he found out her true age he removed himself from that situation. thope that this letter will help this young man get release but he should not plea to something that was out of control. Should he had asked for an |.D for her yes of course but we all as humans don’t ‘éally ask people most of the time for-their LD like that when you are trying to get to know someone. This whole case is not right and | refuse to let it continue. Your honor please, please, please deeply think about this justice is not being serve based off lies.
