Catholic Funeral Rites:
When a death occurs in your family,
please call the Parish Office and we
will assist you in making the
necessary liturgical arrangements.
Chronic Care Facilities:
Pastoral visits are made monthly.
Reception of Holy Communion is
available to residence.
Notify the Parish Office when serious
illness occurs. When the sick, aged or
incapacitated are confined to home
for an extended time, a pastoral visit
can be arranged.

AND HOMEBOUND
We are grateful to those who
give of their time and care to
bring Holy Communion to our
parishioners who cannot make it
to church due to sickness or infirmity. If you know of
anyone who would like to receive communion in
their home or while hospitalized at West Lincoln
Hospital, please contact the parish office.
SANCTUARY LAMP
We have openings for the Sanctuary Lamp in 2019.
If you would like to book a particular week in
memory of your loved one, please contact the office
sooner rather than later as the year is filling up. Cost
is $35 per week.
CANADIAN TIRE MONEY
We continue to collect your Canadian Tire
money. It can be brought to the office or placed
in the collection basket.

September 24: "Coping with Stress"
LIFE CHAIN - SUNDAY, SEPT. 30, 1-2 pm
Next Sunday, September 30 from 1 - 2 pm we
plan to gather at the intersection of Main St. and
Christie St. in Grimsby to pray for an end to abor-
tion. We will be joining our prayers with thousands
of people in 1600 locations across Canada and the
United States who will be forming Life Chains on the
same day!
We will pray silently and hold professionally-
printed signs provided at the site. We will peacefully
stand in honor of the 60 million lives who have been
lost to abortion. This is a local witness intended to
demonstrate that abortion is not a closed or settled is-
sue in this country.

The Great Depression began
in 1929 and lasted a decade.
Shantytowns appeared across
the U.S. as unemployed peo-
ple were evicted from their
homes. As the Depression
worsened in the 1930s, it caused severe hardships for
millions of Americans.
Now, nearly a century later, it is déjà vu as we
again see homeless encampments under freeways,
people sleeping on the sidewalk, and people with
cardboard signs at many street corners.
The Gospel is not about being the greatest and
most important person. Called to be servants to one
another, especially to the least of us, Jesus continues
to put the problem right in our face. He invites us to

FIRST CONFESSION AND FIRST COMMUN-
ION REGISTRATION: A Registration meeting for
parents of grade 2 students baptised in the Roman
Catholic Church who are preparing to celebrate the
Sacraments of First Confession and First Commun-
ion this school year will take place on Wednesday,

CONFIRMATION REGISTRATION: A Registra-
