Biotechnology
- is a general category of all the studies and techniques that combine the ideas and
needs of biology and medicine with engineer universities offer specialized
programs in BIOCHEMICAL ENGINEERING, BIOPHYSICS, ENGINEERING
PSYCHOLOGY, and other interdisciplinary fields that together constitute the
realm of biotechnology. The word is now often used to signify the field of
GENETIC ENGINEERING.

Ex.

1. G.M.O- genetically modified organisms

2. CLONING- copying the exact image of the animal using experiments

3. GENETIC ENGINEERING- the most controversial and famous branch of

biotechnology

4. PRODUCTION OF BT CORN- Bacillus Thurengis( a biological organism)

makes the corn dangerous for insects.

5. ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION- the transferring of one’s genes to another

organism
