Checklist for Preliminary Editorial Assessment of New Submissions

I] Original manuscript should contain the below items in that order:

 Title page
o Manuscript Title
o Author’s names (First, Middle Initial, surname) and affiliations
o Corresponding author with asterisk
o Various affiliations with superscript lower case letters (a,b,c.etc)
o Details of the corresponding author (Tel., fax, and e-mail address)
o Short running title (maximum 80 characters including spaces)

 Abstract
o Unstructured

 Keywords
o 3-5 keywords separated by semicolon

 Introduction

 Materials and Methods/Patients and Methods/Experimental/Methodology

o Complete vendor information (company, city and country)

 Results and Discussion (combined/separate)

 Conclusions

 Acknowledgements (optional)
o List of funding sources for studies
o Contribution from individuals OTHER THAN authors

 References
o Complies with Vancouver Style [first cited – first order]
o Add “et al” for more than 6 authors

 Tables and Figures

o # of Tables ≤ 6, # of Figures ≤ 6 (Additional Tables and Figures are only accepted at the
discretion of the editor)
o Cite them in the text in their order of appearance using Arabic numerals
o Figures or Tables are accompanied by caption or legend, respectively
o Uploaded on separate sheets
o Figure resolution > 300 dpi
