Our clinic mission statement was developed for employees, patients and business partners by employees and describes

Well regulated
Our House Rules
In our Clinic children, teenagers and adults are living
together. This requires mutual respect of different indi-
vidual needs. In order to make your stay in our clinic
as pleasant and safe as possible, we kindly ask you to
follow the house-rules. All visitors and other persons
are obliged to accept the rules when entering the clinic
premises. Patients, accompanying persons and visitors
are obliged to follow the instructions of our clinic staff.
Violations of the rules may lead to the termination of the
rehabilitation. Our nurses and colleagues of the night
shift representing the clinic management have the right
to enforce the house-rules and to report any violations.
In-patient treatment
(a) In order to have a successful treatment in our Clin-
ic, your support is necessary. For this reason we ask
you to meet your therapy schedule and take your
meals in time.
(b) It is not allowed to take any other medication or ac-
cept other medical treatment/auxiliary devices than
those prescribed by the physician of the Clinic. The
application of any additional methods or physical
units not prescribed in your individual therapy plan
is only possible with the approval of your physician
in the Clinic.
(c) Children and teenagers are only allowed to leave the
Clinic if their parents or legal guardian have given
written permission. Absence from the Clinic is al-
lowed for:
Patients under the age of 13 years until 18.00 Uhr
Patients between 13 and 14 years of age until 20.30 Uhr
Patients between 15 and 17 years of age until 21.30 Uhr
Patients 18 years of age and older until 22.30 Uhr
(d) All teenagers must be in their rooms at 21.30. The
Clinic will be closed at 22.30. Up to this time the re-
ceptionist can be contacted.
(e) Please note that insurers do not allow the patients
to take some days off, to interrupt or terminate the
stay earlier if there is no serious reason like urgent
family affairs (as for example death, serious illness
or accident) or medical problems. Earlier departure
requires the approval of the leading physician of the
Clinic.

Rest, visits
(a) We want you and other people to feel well in our
Clinic. The Clinic is no public place, but a protected
and a protecting place, where healing and resting
has priority. Please take care not to disturb others.
(b) The daily resting hour from 13:00 – 14:00 and an un-
disturbed night rest is essential factor of our thera-
py. For this reason patients are asked to stay in their
rooms during this time.

Patients 18 years and older 22.30 - 07.00 Uhr
(c) We ask you to keep quiet during the resting hours.
Please avoid loud conversation, noisy closing of
doors, talking loudly on the phone in your room or
on the balcony/terrace, running in the corridors or
on the stairs.
(d) Visitors are welcome on Saturday afternoon and
Sunday. Besides the entrance hall, the Clinic pro-
vides special areas where patients and visitors can
meet. Visitors have to check in at the reception.
Safety
(a) It is not allowed to enter the room of another patient.
For meeting and talking to other patients please use
the areas/rooms provided.
(b) Accompanying persons and guests accommodated
in the Clinic will receive a badge on their arrival
showing their name. Please always wear your badge
for identification.
(c) Guests, who don’t intend to visit a relative or do not
visit the Clinic or a patient for private reasons, have
to inform the reception accordingly.
(d) Patients or visitors are not allowed to move or ex-
change furniture or other items belonging to the
Clinic.
(e) The use any kind of fire, burning objects, heating
plates or other electrical devices which is not prop-
erty of the Clinic, is forbidden on the entire Clinic
premises. Devices for body hygiene like a razor or
hair dryer may be used. Electronic entertainment
devices may be used in combination with a headset
and only if roommates don’t take offense. Artistic
fireworks and all kind of weapons are forbidden.
(f) Leave valuable objects at home!
(g) In case of fire or other emergency please follow the
instructions of the clinic team.
Photographs, films, media (Landeskrankenhaus-Gesetz, Bundes-
datenschutzgesetz, Landesdatenschutzgesetz, § 201 StGB) (lhospital
law of the country of Rhineland-Palatinate, federal law for data pro-
tection, law for data protection of the country of Rhineland-Palati-
nate, § 201 of the penal code).
(a) The Clinic is no public place, but a protected and
protecting area. Specific judicial regulations of the
Landeskrankenhausgesetz (hospital law of the
country of Rhineland-Palatinate), regulations for
data safety and § 201a of the penal code (violation
of privacy) have to be respected. For this reason it
is not allowed to make a film or take a picture of a
patient without his prior approval, even in the case
of later anonymization. The legal status for making
films or taking pictures in or outside a clinic is differ-
ent from the one in a public place. The areas where
this is strictly forbidden, are marked accordingly.
(b) Voice, audio and video recording or picture taking
for industrial or commercial use or publication can
only be realized with the permission of the Clinic
management. This applies also to photos/videos
made by patients or their relatives. Recordings of
this kind are not allowed without approval.
(c) Only patients and their relatives are allowed to make
photos or films for private use and only outside the
therapy areas. When making private photos or films,
take care that no other person or patients can be seen
on the photos or films.
(d) For these reasons journalists are not allowed to visit
the Clinic or the patients for research work or report-
ing without permission of the ‘Clinic management.
Journalists, who want to talk to a patient, visitor or
member of the Clinic team for professional reasons,
first have to prove that they are entitled to do so.
Smoking, alcohol and drugs
(a) In and outside the Clinic smoking is not allowed. As
we treat many children and teenagers in our Clinic,
the rule of non-smoking is very important and will
be strictly controlled.
(b) The consumption of alcoholic beverages and drugs
is also forbidden. Already the first violation of this
rule may lead to the termination of the treatment in
our Clinic.
Goods, services, lost property
(a) The offering of goods or services and the collecting
of money is not allowed in and outside the Clinic.
Exceptions have first to be approved by the Clinic
management.
(b) The distribution of advertising material, political ac-
tions or other meetings are not allowed or do need
the permission of the Clinic management.
(c) Lost property has to be disposed at the reception. It
will become property of the Clinic after 6 months.
Animals
(a) It is not allowed to take animals to the Clinic or feed
animals on Clinic premises.
(b) Guide dogs are excluded from this rule. If you want
to bring a guide dog with you, please inform us
when making an appointment for treatment in the
Clinic.
Elevators
(a) Elevators may only be used by handicapped persons
for transporting luggage at arrival and departure.
All other persons have to use the stairs.
Liability
(a) We ask you to handle Clinic property and rooms
with care. When leaving your room make sure that
the door is locked to prevent unauthorized admis-
sion. In case you have caused damage, you respec-
tively your insurance will be liable for it. Parents are
liable for the damage caused by their children. You
are responsible for the damage in your room caused
by visitors.
(b) Please notify any technical defects or damages in
your room and inform immediately a member of
our cleaning staff or the reception, so that repairs
can be made quickly.
Reasons to ban someone from the Clinic
(a) People working in the Clinic may order patients/
people to stay away from the Clinic for good rea-
son for example in case of disturbance of the internal
peace of the Clinic or violation of the house-rules.

Waste/Rubbish
Please try to minimize your waste material, for disposal
use the provided baskets.
Pharmacy
Medication prescribed by the treating physician in the
clinic is provided by our nurses. For any other medication,
which is not related to the disease the rehabilitation was
indicated, please refer to our local pharmacies, because
this medication cannot be prescribed by our attending
physician in the clinic.
Visiting time
Relatives and friends are welcome to visit our patients.
Please adapt vistitor’s plan to your treamtent schedule.
No visits during therapy.
The best time to welcome visitors is Saturday afternoon
and Sunday. Please announce the arrival of your visi-
tors at the reception. If desired we can also offer accom-
modation and meals for visitors.
However we ask you to pay attention to the resting
hours und not to disturb the privacy of other patients.

Leisure Time
For your free time we offer a great variety of in- and
outdoor activities (e.g. handicraft, painting, excursions,
town trips, different kind of sports). For more detailed
information please see our notice board in front of the
dining room. You may also contact our employees who
organize activities for leisure time or ask our team at the
reception for more information.
The swimming pool can be used in the evening hours
and at the weekends (please see opening hours).
You can borrow different board games.
Bikes
Bikes can be rented at the local rental offices. There are
many nice bicycle tracks along the “Nahe” river.
Questions
If you have any questions, please ask our employees at
the reception. In case of a specific question, they will
refer you to a competent colleague.
Taking Films or Photographs
There are special rules in our clinic. You can find them
in our house rules. (p. 6/7)
Luggage
On request your luggage will be taken to your room on
the arrvial day. Please contact our employees at the re-
ception.
Please deposit your luggage at the reception the day
you are leaving. Our employees will store it in our lug-
gage room and will return it to you when you are ready
for leaving.
If you have hired a luggage transporting service please
deposit your luggage the day of pickup at 8:00 at the
reception.

Religious Services
Religious services are offered by the existing churches
of different confessions in Bad Sobernheim. Please in-
form yourself about worship hours at the reception.
Pets
Pets are not allowed in the clinic.
House Tours
House tours are organized by our leisure coordinators
for the evening of the arrival day.
Meeting point is Hall 1. Please look at your therapy
plan for the starting time.
Exercise Equipment
Items (rice bag, exercise mat, brush) you need for
exercising can be bought at the reception.
Internet
You have access to the internet via WLAN in the foyer
and in the public area of the 1st floor. The internet con-
nection will be charged. For access data please refer to
the employees at the reception.
A permanently installed terminal and a Telecom hot-
spot can be found on the 2nd floor.
Kiosk
A large range of items for your daily needs is available
at the kiosk in the foyer of the clinic. Opening hours can
be seen at the reception.

The use of mobile phones is not allowed during ther-

Smoking is not allowed on clinic premises. If you can’t

Our clinic is equipped with a telephone system that
can be used on request by the patients for incoming
and outgoing calls. The daily rent for the phone is cur-
rently 0,50 €. If you want a room phone please ask our
employees at the reception. You have to pay 25,00 € in
advance.

Reparations
If you notice any defects in your room or in and around
the clinic, please inform the reception.

Please help to avoid accidents by wearing tight fitting
shoes, by following the rules for the pool area and by
using non-slippery exercise mats during therapy.
Accidents resulting in damage to property or personal
injury should be reported immediately to the nurses
in room 53 on the ground floor; this is important for
handling matters with the insurers afterwards.

Exercise Book
Please always carry along your exercise book – even if
you are outside the clinic building or -premises.

Laundry
Washing machines and tumble driers are available in
the laundry room. We charge 2,00 € for each washing.
Please register at the reception. There you can also buy
washing powder.

Water
A water dispenser is installed on the 2nd floor in front of
the dining room as well as in the dining room. There you
can get water with gas or without gas for free. Drinking
bottles can be borrowed or bought at the reception.
