Job Type: Housekeeper
Job Description: The primary responsibility of a housekeeper is to clean the guest rooms (single, double, and
suites) and commons spaces of the Hotel and Condominiums.

Participants will clean bathrooms and make beds, clean kitchen areas if needed and general living
spaces.

Participants will work with guest requests and communicate to housekeeping manager.
Participants will be using cleaning chemicals.

Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Seasonality and business needs dictate schedule
and hours worked.

Strong verbal English skills required as this position interacts with Deer Valley guests.

*Participants are expected to stay till their contracted dates which are listed on their DS-2019 form.

Job Benefits (bonuses, incentives): Participants receive a 7 Day Ski pass to activities at Deer
Valley, meaning they are able to ski 7 days a week.
Participants also get passes to local resorts (limited number)
and marketing coupons (limited number of lift passes for
friends and family). Participants will also receive a 20%
discount on retail at the company's Signature stores, and 50%
one time discount at each of their fine dining restaurants.
There is also an end of season bonus which is $1.00 for every
hour worked and $1.50 for overtime hours worked, but
participants must work until the final day of their contract.

Brief description of housing: Employer-provided housing is available on a first-come first-serve basis
and one of 3 dormitory buildings. Participants will be sharing rooms in a
basic dormitory setting, up to 4 persons per room; each with own bed.
There is one bathroom per room for all properties. Rooms have mini
refrigerators and microwave for simple meals. Not all dormitory buildings
have access to kitchen facilities, however, are located close to grocery
stores and restaurants.

Please Note: Friends and couples are welcome to apply, however, they
should not expect to be assigned the same housing as rooms are
divided by job placements and shifts.

Details on rent range: $14-$12 per day depending on location and


number of roommates.

Summer Operations
Please provide a brief description of your community: Park City is a mountain town in Utah, approximately 30
miles from Utah's state capitol, Salt Lake City. It is a ski
resort town that receives many tourists especially
during the winter months. Park City is the main location
of the country's largest independent film festival, the
Sundance Film Festival and home of the United States
Ski Team. Deer Valley also hosts the annual FIS World
Cup in late January/early February.

Resort also provides a free bus pass for staff to travel to


Salt Lake City where they can enjoy museums,
shopping, and local culture.

Is there anything special that students should bring? Participants should bring some warmer clothing; winter
coats, winter boots, gloves, hats, scarves.

its world class ski resorts, this is the place to be for both summer concert series, mountain biking and legendary winter
sports! Participants will be able to enjoy seasonal outdoor activities.

Participants will also be able to take day trips in time off to Utah's state capitol, Salt Lake City which is approximately
30 miles away. Salt Lake City is the largest city in Utah and has everything a large urban center has to offer.

GROOMING STANDARDS
Our Grooming Standards help our staff maintain a demeanor and appearance consistent with Deer Valley¶s first-class
image and the expectations of our guests. Please review the following grooming standards prior to submitting an
application. Deer Valley Resort sets the standard in the ski industry with our well-groomed staff.
Male Employees:
Hair neatly groomed and tapered (above the eyebrows and collar)
Sideburns straight and trimmed to no longer than ear length
Clean shaven daily; the exception being a neatly trimmed mustache (beards, goatees and handlebar mustaches are
prohibited)
Earrings or other visible pierced jewelry are not to be worn on duty or while using company facilities
Tattoos may not be visible while on duty

Female Employees:
Neat and easy to maintain hairstyle
Long hair may need to be confined depending on the position worked or so as to not endanger the employee
Moderate and natural looking cosmetics
Neutral jewelry
Pierced jewelry may be worn only on the ears; no more than three earrings, per ear
Tattoos may not be visible while on duty

Participants will be meeting new people and interacting with Americans at work and on their time off. Park City
receives many tourists so participants will be able to interact with local Americans and visitors to this resort town on a
daily basis. Experiencing American culture will be part of participants' lives while living in Park City. See above for
examples of things to do to experience American culture in this famous ski town.

Participants whose employment is terminated (involuntary or voluntarily), will have 2 weeks from the time that they
end their position to secure permanent housing that complies with Greenheart Exchange¶s Housing Guidelines and
submit a Self-Arranged Job Offer (SAJO) to Greenheart Exchange for consideration. Participant¶s failure to submit a
SAJO within a two-week timeframe will result in shortening the participant¶s program sponsorship. If Greenheart
Exchange rejects SAJO, the participant has 1 business day to resubmit SAJO in accordance with instructions
