Gas turbines use large quantities of air
in the combustion process. Even small
concentrations of contamination in the
intake air represent huge amounts on
a yearly basis. Purifying the air used
in the combustion process of a gas
turbine greatly benefits the plant’s
efficiency. For instance, clean air limits
compressor fouling. Gas turbines are
operating in very different ambient
conditions, from open sea (oil and
gas platforms) to the desert, from
the arctic to the tropical regions.
