This modified learning and assessment plan programme has been devised to suit an individual student whom has been
identified as having an intellectual disability diagnosed at an ‘I’ level, is under the Guardianship of the Minister and identifies
as Indigenous. Literacy is this student’s strength and she and generally can write well, however, she forgets capital letters,
punctuation and basic spelling at times. She isn’t confident speaking in front of people and at times, she mumbles her
speech. She enjoys and relates well to younger students, especially the R/1/2 class. These learning goals have been
developed in accordance to the student’s learning needs.

Personal learning goals


Identify developmentally appropriate personal learning goals for the like cohort / individual student (number each goal 1,
2, 3). Goals should be developmentally appropriate and reflect the learning requirements and content of the subject, as
described in the subject outline.

PLG 1: creating basic texts to meet a purpose.


PLG 2: can create texts suitable for a specific target audience
PLG 3: can speak to audiences with some confidence and clarity
PLG 4: can apply a correct format and some features you would expect from specific text types.
PLG 5: uses mostly correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
PLG 6: viewing advertising material and understanding its purpose
PLG 7: evaluating the effectiveness of basic texts
PLG 8: Can comprehend basic ideas in texts

Adjustments to personal learning goals or changes made to the learning and assessment plan to support students to
be successful in meeting the requirements of the subject can be made on the Addendum.

The student is required to find two sets of instructions on a topic
