- The children share ideas about ways we can care for ourselves:
• keeping our hair, nails and bodies clean
• eating healthy food
• doing exercise
• keeping the class, school and other safety rules, etc.
- The children could choose and illustrate one of these ways. A
caption is written on each illustration, for example: ‘I try to wash Paper and coloured pens
my hands after playing.’
- Compile the illustrations into a class book. A suggested title could
be: ‘We Can Care for Ourselves’.
- This book could be added to throughout the day as the children
discover the many ways they can care for themselves and others
