Prayer
 Discuss the ideas in the video https://www.youtube.com/watc
 “Prayer is important because it was something that Jesus did, h?v=ZrdlXOk_QdQ
and we need to try and be like Jesus. We prayer so we can talk to
God, just like we talk to our parents or caregivers. When we pray,
we talked to God about things going on in our life, things we are
struggling with, things we are thankful for and things we need to
say sorry for. Through prayer, we can ask God to help us make
good decisions by reminding us to love the people around us.
When we don’t pray to God, we can sometimes forget that we
should be making good decisions and we can forget to be loving to
others.”

Lesson Steps:

5 mins  Ask students to brainstorm what life would look like if we pray to
God to help us make good choices, and if we do not pray to God
to help us make good choices

decisions by reminding us to love the people around us.”
 “Have a think about what you think would happen if we did not
pray to God to help us make good choices?”

 Give students 30-60 seconds to think of an answer Whiteboard and marker

 Ask students to share
 Write student’s responses on the whiteboard

 “Now I would like you to have a think about what you think would
happen if we did pray to God to help us make good choices?”
 Give students 30-60 seconds to think of an answer
 Ask students to share
 Write student’s responses on the whiteboard
 Explain main activity

 “I am going to split you into two groups.”

 “in your groups, you are going to use on of the examples we
came up, and role play what that might look like.”
 “Group one, you are going to role play what could happen if we
did pray to God to help us make good choices, and group two, you
are going to role play what could happen if we did not pray to God
to help us make good choices.”

 Explain expectations of the activity

 “I want to see everyone in your group participating.”
 “You can choose from any of the examples we came up with on
the board
 “Your role play needs to be at least 5 minutes long but no longer
than 10 minutes.

 Ask students if they have any questions

 Number students either one or two
 Gather students together in their groups and allocate groups and
10 certain space in the classroom (or outside) to plan and rehearse
