Lesson Steps:
5 mins Ask students to brainstorm what life would look like if we pray to
God to help us make good choices, and if we do not pray to God
to help us make good choices
“Now I would like you to have a think about what you think would
happen if we did pray to God to help us make good choices?”
Give students 30-60 seconds to think of an answer
Ask students to share
Write student’s responses on the whiteboard
Explain main activity

“During this time, I would like you to pray quietly to God, asking
him to help you make good moral choices and to remind you to love
one another.”
“Reflect on a time recently when you did not make a good
choice, and ask God to forgive you and help you to do better next
time.”
Students will need to reset the classroom and put any furniture
back before going out for lunch.
Assessment:
Students identified a practical example of what life could be like if
we did not pray to God or if we did pray to God, asking him to
help us make good choices
Students effectively contributed to class discussion about prayer
