Cochran-Mantel Haenszel Test is an inferential test for the association

between two binary variables. In the case of Chemical Fertilizers, to test the

independence of seven (7) Fertilizers. We should compute it first using the

Breslow-Day Homogeneity of Odds Ratio. This method is used to check the null

hypothesis that all odds ratios are equal. The Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel test can

be thought of as a special case of the Breslow-Day test.

Presented in Table 1, the Breslow-Day Test results show that the seven (7)

fertilizers are significant (p=0.0098). However, in the Cochran-Matel-Haenszel

Test presented in Table 2, it confirms that there is no significant relationship

between the seven (7) fertilizers (p=0.615).

Based on the results of the test, the forms that pose a higher risk is the Powder

which has an average percentage of 73%. This form has a lower demand based on their

market research rather than the pellet. It shows that powder as the form of fertilizer is at

risk for the RAYA International if they going to release this fertilizer specially in the

Molybdenum Based Fertilizers.

In the Treatment, Seed poses higher risk with an average of 55.93 compared to

soil that has an average of 75.64. This shows that farmers preferred to used soil treatment

in treating their farms.

Further, RAYA International Company should give some attention to fertilizer form

and treatment. There are some forms and treatment that are not fitted to the type of

Fertilizers. This factor should be considered by the company in order for them to get ready

in introducing the chemical fertilizer in the agricultural sector.
