RULES AND POINTING SYSTEM

 Rule no. 1. You are not allowed to speak in Tagalog or English during Italian class, unless you are
permitted by your Italian language teacher.
 Rule no. 2. You are not allowed to stand or leave the classroom without permission. You may be
permitted only if you ask in Italian.
To ask permission, you may say:
• Potrei andare in bagno a fare la pipi.
• Potrei andare in bagno. Devo fare la cacca.
• Porei andare fuori a bere.
• Potrei andare alla clinica. Ho mal di …..
 Rule no. 3. You are not allowed to make any unnecessary noise. Occasional noise brought by
rejoicing for winning in a game or a member earning a point is permitted as long as no English or
Tagalog word is mentioned.
 You may use Italian dictionary in class except during an evaluation test.
 Your group earns a point for every correct answer during class recitation.
 Before a new topic is introduced, your teacher will ask one member from each group a random
question. Five points will be given for correct answer.
 You have to sit according to the assigned seat of your teacher.
 During class, just raise your hand to answer the question of your teacher. Screaming to get
attention is a violation of Rule no. 3.

You will remain with your group until the end of each quarter. This means, your groupmates will be
changed every quarter.

AWARDS AND INCENTIVES

 The winner for each quarter will be determined after the quarterly exam.
 10 bonus points will be added to your monthly assessment and 20 bonus points will be added to
your quarterly assessment.

Deductions: 1 point will be deducted for every violation on any of the rules.

 Speaking in Tagalog/English
 Standing/Leaving classroom without permission
 Making unnecessary noise
 Answering the question without raising of hands
 Not in assigned seat

Ways to Earn Points for the Group:

 Getting a perfect score in the quiz/seatwork/homework

 Reciting in class with the correct answer
 Winning in a class activity/game
