Hi everyone! Welcome! I’m not sure what the best way to do this is, but open to suggestions.

I’m
thinking it might be a good idea if one person (or some people) take one item on the reading list
and summarizes?

Winnie: Hello! Thanks for this. I’ve taken the one in the document (marked my name and date
that I take it). Maybe we can post the summary when we finish it, following this reading list (in
the same doc). Probably the deadline is mid-October? How do you think? For long readings,
maybe a few people could summarize it together :)

Sheethal: Thank you all! I have numbered the documents. I can summarize #15 the United
Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. I can also help with other long
documents as Winnie suggested that multiple people can review.

Thanks for the suggestion, Winnie and thanks for numbering, Sheethal. Good idea! So
everyone, just put your name next to a document you want to summarize and we’ll go
from there.

Bárbara: I chose 2 to summarize because one of them is the SDGs (not a long read). How
should we share the summaries?

Namira: Hello all. I have chosen 2 documents that I will summarise, number 6 (Towards Safe,
Orderly and Regular Migration in the Asia-Pacific Region) and 13 (General overview of the
Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing). Is there a specific deadline for this? And do you
think it would be better if we make a whatsapp group for better communication? If it is, I would
create the group and share the link. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Larissa: Hello everyone! I have chosen a general website (I imagine there will be a lot of
publications in it) + a 2017 report. I suggest we create google docs with the summaries or
posting them just after each topic. What do you say about fixing a deadline like for the second
week of october (around the 11th)?

Is it possible to share this google document with other people? I couldn’t manage to do it right
now but I am wondering if it is due to my internet connection or to the document set up ?

Sheethal: October 11th seems like a good deadline! I hope everyone who has access to this
document is able to contribute by then. Also, for documents that require multiple people - should
we just sign up for it and indicate how much of it we can review and someone else can add their
name to it as well? An * next to those docs would be useful - if you need help with reviewing it.

^Sounds like a good idea!
