I show them some sample of my work and keep other for when
they will finish with their practices.
I ask them to create their own translation of the text “The
Metaphor of Cake and Language” and bring to me the difficult
words they don’t understand the meaning.
I write those words on the board, break each word into its
different components and come up with the explanation and
clarification.
Then I explain to them the acronym SMAR which means
substitution, modification, augmentation and redefinition.
I show them how prewriting refers to the gathering of
information, while writing involves the control of their style
and content of their work whereas post wring require them to
revise their essay or dissertation.
I instruct them on how to use capital letters, numeric, when to
use full stop, comma,, parenthesis etc.
I indicate to them the main steps to follow when writing an
essay or dissertation such as respecting the introduction, the
development and the conclusion

I put my students in group of two, three or four, give them
dictation to write followed by a dissertation or essay.
I assist them to correct their errors. I use diagram to
demonstrate writing style on consonants and vowels.
I show them how different components of a word use prefixes,
suffixes in its roots.
I give them quiz on modification and redefinition

I give them home work on substitution, modification,
augmentation and redefinition to use their technology.
I let them know that I will grade their independent work

To evaluate my students I use quiz, assignment, brainstorming
questions, the rule of thumb, and feedback.
