Linguistic jump-start for MINT academics
Academics with a migration background who have a foreign university degree in mathematics, computer
science, technology, physics, chemistry and / or biology are in demand. But without adequate language skills,
foreign academics often have a hard time on the German job market. In order to bring together companies
and specialists, we specifically train immigrants with appropriate degrees in cooperation with the
"Integration through Qualification (IQ)" support program.
The six-month course combines both linguistic and methodological competence training. In the classroom,
the teaching of subject-related as well as everyday language is on the program. The project is accompanied
by an individual migration-sensitive coaching.
The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS) and the European Social
Fund as part of the funding program IQ and co-financed by the state of Lower Saxony.
The Integration through
Qualification program aims to sustainably improve the
labor market integration of adults with a migrant background. The
program is funded by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS) and the European Social Fund
(ESF). Partners in the implementation are the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the
Federal Employment Agency (BA).
