ABSTRACT
Eosinophils have a pivotal role as effector cells in the immunopathogenesis of atopic dermatitis. Atopic Dermatitis (AD) is a
chronic allergic inflammation skin disease which the etiopathogenesis are still poorly understood, however we can find some
immunologic anomalies either in the peripheral blood or locally in the skin tissue. Eosinophilia is common on AD patients,
and eosinophils as hypodense cells were activated and degranulated, release their granule proteins that contribute to damage of
tissue in the sites of allergic inflammation. Either hypodense eosinophils or eosinophil granule proteins in the peripheral blood
correlated with disease activity Eosinophils have many receptors on the their external plasma membrane that could made interaction
with other immun component cells. After induction of allergen eosinophils and other inflammation cells recruited to the sites
of inflammation by chemoattractans and some cytokines and adhesion molecules may contribute to lead eosinophils migration
and generate allergic inflammation in AD.
