12. Synopsis This module will introduce students to some basic
aspects of business laws. Topics to be covered include
sources and classification of law, the law of contract and
an introduction to employment law. The sources and
classification of law, the court system. Essentials of
contract law, including formation of contract, express and
implied terms and exclusion clauses, discharge and
remedies. Introduction to employment law, including
employees and independent contractors, unfair and
wrongful dismissal, aspects of health and safety at work.
