1. Application Screening and Clarifications:-
- Payment is verified

- Documents received are checked for adequacy at RDSO

• Any clarification to be sought is communicated to the
vendor – Online as well as Dak
• Information to vendor about uploading of letter is also sent
thorough SMS

2. Acceptance of Application:- If accepted, the firm is intimated
about the status by sending the scanned copy of letter on-line/ e-mail
&
case is processed for “On-Site verification of facilities”

3. Rejection of Application:- If rejected, firm will be intimated

accordingly along with deficiencies.
- Firm to give compliance within Six months.
( Compliance can be given online)
- If there is a delay, firm to apply afresh.

4. Visit to Firm’s Premises:- RDSO officer will visit the
firm’s premises for
 STR verification and
 Capability Assessment

5. Test Samples and charges:- Testing of sample ( or

prototype) at Firm’s Premises or RDSO or NABL accredited
lab.
Testing charges to be borne by firm

 In case of Failure of sample
• Firm is required to submit Corrective and Preventive actions
and request for Re-testing of Sample
• Sample to be tested for all the parameters.

 If sample Passes; case processed for

• Type testing or
• Field Trial, if required
• Approval

 If Fails, Firm need to apply Afresh

6. Capability Assessment Report:-. The duly completed
“Inspection and Capability Assessment Report” with Test
Results are submitted to the Directorate head

7. Approval by Directorate Head:- Approval is given

by Directorate Head for placing the vendor in ‘List of vendors
for developmental orders’.

8. Periodicity of Quality Audit :- 5 years.

 Up-gradation of Vendors from ‘Developmental ’ to
‘Approved Vendors’:-
Vendors are upgraded to ‘Approved Vendors’ only after
compliance to Quantity and Performance criteria.
Prerequisites specified in para 4.1 of ISO document QO-
D-7.1.11(latest version)
