We’ve been getting a quite a few emails about the upcoming Japanese
Accelerator course. We’re excited about it, but frankly all the emails have
created something of a problem for us...
A lot of your questions are being asked by other people too, and we have been
writing the same responses to everyone... over and over again :)
So all of this has lead to a realization: There has to be a better way to handle
things. After a quick phone meeting we came up with an idea!
Why not answer the most popular questions in a PDF so we don’t have to break
our fingers writing answers a million times!
We also decided to throw in a few comments from people who have taken the
course, used our tools, and watched our videos... a little shameless self-
promotion never hurt anyone, right?
Best,
Before we start...
If you are not on the waiting list, you will not be able to register.
You guys rock!! Nobody (my native speaking Girlfriend included!) could
ever tell me these things in this easy, yet perfectly understandable way!

I really think being able to hear back my part of the conversation along with
the other participant as part of the simulation is very helpful. It really lets me
hear what I'm doing wrong and work on fixing it. I've spent a lot on books
and things trying to find what will work for me to learn Japanese the best,
and I really thing this along with the books I have will really get me in the
right direction.

There are two main lesson types: video lessons and interactive “simulation”
exercises. Video lessons cover fundamentals of the language while the simulation
exercises get you interacting with the language out-loud just like in real life.

Unlike many other programs, books, CDs, and software you may have bought,
you will gain a solid understanding of the fundamentals of Japanese AND get a
ton of practical “on the street” conversation practice.
This course gives you just the right amount of theory (not too much, not too
little), and a TON of interactive practice.
How to use and leverage verbs for maximum effectiveness. You’ll like
this. It’s easy and really powerful. ;)
How to use adjectives correctly to describe things (so you don’t sound
like a weirdo).
And more...
Here are examples of some of the things you will learn to do in the
simulation exercises:
Yes! There are 4 modules which are meant to be completed over 4 weeks but
can be completed at your own pace to fit your schedule.
You may decide to complete the course in less than 4 weeks (although we don’t
recommend it), or want to take your time and extend the course for longer than
4 weeks. We will coach you along, answer your questions, and give guidance for
four weeks starting the day you register. You will continue to have full-access to
all of the materials after the four week period concludes.
There are four modules with lessons spread out across the modules. In total,
there are 71 lessons that range from 5 minute videos to half-hour simulation
exercises.
You do not need to know how to read Kanji or Kana to enroll in the Japanese
Accelerator course. The 3 Japanese alphabets are one of the biggest barriers
that keep people from learning Japanese. Many people start by trying to learn
the alphabets first and often causes them to lose motivation. That’s not what we
want for you...
We want you to get the maximum benefit out of Japanese as soon as possible.
Due to the personalized follow-up and coaching that we give to each student,
we must limit the amount of people who can register.
While we would like to give this quality of attention to everyone, we just don’t
have the manpower to handle something like that at this point. For this reason,
we have developed a waiting list in order to allow you to register when a spot
opens up and it is your turn.
Yes, the course is conducted online. However, there are elements of the course
that you can download and print for convenience.
At the end of each module, you can fill-out a self-evaluation form. Doing this will
help us to ensure that you’re getting the most out of the course and give you an
opportunity to reflect on your progress.
If you find yourself in this boat, Japanese Accelerator is built for you. Unlike the
things you have studied before, it gets you actually interacting with the
language, not just learning about it.
The majority of the lessons are built around functional situations instead of
ideas like past/present tenses or verb conjugation. While these things are
covered in the beginning of the course, the bulk of the lessons help you build
your confidence in your ability to speak Japanese in the real world (not the
classroom).
Best Wishes,
