Task Title: Portfolio

Task Description: Create a portfolio of visual art techniques suitable for early childhood
settings. Clearly segregated into distinct activity types (ie. Painting,
Collage, 3D modeling). (LO 2,3)

This assignment includes the following:

Special Instructions:
A Portfolio which includes a minimum of 5 art and craft techniques that could be
explored in early childhood settings which includes:
• The name of the technique
• Resources/Materials needed
• Procedures & Instructions on how to apply this technique
• Developmental domains involved (physical, cognitive, socio-emotional skills
can this project help develop?)
• Links with KG ADEC curriculum
• A reference list of books, web sites etc which readers could use to further
explore the technique
• Photos or pictures obtained from other sources that could be used to enhance
the portfolio

Weighting: 40%

Duration/Word Limit: A portfolio containing at least 5 art and craft techniques
