Abstract

The exploration to find a fairness Water Resources management model is very important to
do; moreover, the debate covering the issue is still there. There are parties allowing the
management to hand over by anyone including the private sector. On the other side, some
parties banned to do so. This research intended to explor the water management in Umbul
Cokro Tulung Klaten Regency in which it has a fine atmosphere in doing so, so that none of
anyone is harmed by its peoples, farmers, Klaten Local Government, Solo City Water Supply
Company and Aqua Drinking Water Company. Thus, they can find a fair water resource
management model to improve the community’s welfare as well as the local government
income. Technical analysis that is used is designing model of policy of management of water
resources fair through enrichment of library until found concept of model concept.

THE TEXTBOOK DIFFERENCE OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT:
A WESTERN AND ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

The discipline of scientific field today is heavily influenced by the West on the basis of
secular, liberal and pluralistic secularism. It is found in the human resource management
(HRM) disciplines which are empty of values of revelation so that it caused many problems
in terms of the so-called secular science. To overcome the matter, the key is Islamization of
knowledge. This research is qualitative and is literary study, by taking an object of
Islamization of knowledge; while the subject is a textbook of HRM materials used in higher
education institutions in Indonesia. The research was conducted by collecting data from
teaching textbook of HRM which was taken as sample by starting out the discipline of HRM
into categories, then identifying different categories of human resource management of
Western and Islamic text. The result of the research shows that there is a difference of HRM
textbook between Western and Islamic perspective based on HRM concept. It is a need to
overcome the differences by conducting the Islamization of HRM disciplines
comprehensively. Several parties interested in higher education institutions need to address
the problem of secularism of science by applying the Islamization of knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to prove role conflict and ambiguity toward auditor’s independency with
spiritual intelligence as moderating variables. This study applies a quantitative approach with
primary data taken from questionnaires. The questionnaire was distributed to the
respondents as many as 95 respondents. The population in this study is the APIP auditor
who works in the Inspectorate Office which officially works for the four Madura’s local
government. The results of this study expresses that role conflict influences on the
independence as well as ambiguity that affects the independence of auditors; while spiritual
intelligence moderated the influence of role conflict and role ambiguity to the auditors’
independence

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of innovation in Indonesia’s industry of property agent
throughout the relationship between transformational leadership and team performance.
The study was conducted at PropNext Reality Property Agent; it is a branch of Malang and
Surabaya. To examine the hypotheses, Partial Least Square (PLS) was used as data analysis.
This research found that all hypotheses tested were positive and significant. In addition, it
also found that innovation had a partial mediation role in the relationship between
transformational leadership and team performance. These results was confirmed, but
contradicted to the previous studies ever been conducted.

Abstract

Currently, competition is getting tighter, coupled with the emergence of new competitors
coming from various different business organizations applying different strategies. Today, any
companies is in a search of new sources of competitive advantage, which are rare, difficult to
replicate and able to undergo continuously. This study aims to analyze the role of human
resources and information technology in the implementation of business process to re-
engineer strategies oriented towards the development of business organization
performance. This study uses a literature review approach, containing a description of the
theory; while its findings and other research materials obtained from reference materials to
as the basis for the research activities. The findings in this study express that the business
process to re-engineer strategies combined with human resources and information
technology to develop and improve company performance. Reengineering business process
is a method that promotes a change and introduces a new process and new looks and brings
different elements to enable adaptation toward environmental business changing.

ORIENTATION TOWARD SUSTAINABLY COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES IN IMPROVING

Abstract

Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) has become a concern for scientists and
practitioners in an effort to improve the competitiveness of SMEs. High performance
through competitive advantage is the goal of all Medium Enterprises (ME) that will be
achieved in a dynamic and unpredictable business environment. This study aims to analyze
and determine the influence of entrepreneurial competence, entrepreneurship orientation,
and learning orientation towards sustainable competitive advantage in improving the
managerial performance of Medium Enterprises in Bengkulu Province. The benefits of
research to be achieved include the development of this research model can provide
direction and priority in making policy development and empowerment of entrepreneurship
in Medium Enterprises. This research uses survey approach and descriptive quantitative by
2017. Sampling method used in this research is cluster proportional random sampling
method for 10 districts/cities based on the estimated parameters used with the number of
research samples as much as 360 Medium Enterprises. Research data were analyzed with
Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results of this study indicate: a) a significant influence
and positive relationship of entrepreneurial competence on entrepreneurship orientation,
sustainable competitive advantage, and learning orientation, b) the existence of significant
influence and positive relationship of entrepreneurship orientation and learning orientation
to sustainable competitive advantage, and c) the existence of significant influence and
positive relationship of entrepreneurship orientation, learning orientation, and sustainable
competitive advantage to managerial performance at Bengkulu Province Medium
Enterprises. Suggestions as well as criticism become a reference in developing the Medium
Enterprises in the Province in the future.

IDENTIFYING MICRO ENTREPRENEURS PERCEPTION TOWARD FINANCIAL TRAINING: A
SUPPORT FOR ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

Abstract

This study aims to identify the perceptions of micro entrepreneurs on the benefits of simple
financial training provided by microfinance institutions. These perceptions can reflect
economic empowerment that has been provided by microfinance institution through
trainings. Two hundred and ninety-four questionnaires with open questions can be analyzed
using descriptive statistics through frequent analysis. The results of data analysis show 4
benefits perceived by micro entrepreneurs. They are: the ability to distinguish between the
needs and wants, the ability to manage daily finances, the motivation to keep saving, and
the additional knowledge especially related to financial records.

P2P LENDING SCHEME TO FUND STUDENT’S SME BUSINESS

Abstract

Nowadays, “student entrepreneur” is being a phenomenon. Studentpreneur usually fund


their business using personal saving or loan from relatives. To grow up their business, they
need to increase their funding, but they are still not bankable. P2P lending may address that
problem by providing alternative financing for student SME business. This research is
focusing on finding suitable P2P lending scheme for college student. We do analysis of P2P
lending scheme for business in four countries: Indonesia, USA, UK, and China. There is also
survey of characteristic of student SME business. As a result, most of student business is a
micro business with revenue less than IDR 5 million per month with a business period less
than a year. Their source of funding is mostly from personal saving and loan from family and
friends. Most of them never try to get funding from bank because of collateral and
inexperience factor. Yet, most of them still never hear about P2P lending at all. Their main
factor of choosing lending is interest rate and administrative fulfillment process. Finally, in
this research we provide suggested suitable scheme of P2P lending that is possible to fund
student SME business using university involvement to assess student business qualification.

WHY ACCOUNTING IS IMPORTANT FOR SMES?

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the calculation of cost of good sold
for Tape Processed Products (Tape Besek, Tape Bakar, Dodol, and Suwar-Suwir) with
Traditional and Time Driven Activity Based Costing (TDABC) approach and investigate the
efficiency level of production activities. The research object is Small and Medium Enterprises
(SMEs) Tape Madu Jaya in Jember City that are engaged in the food industry. Descriptive
qualitative approach through literary study is used in this study. The results show that the
calculation Cost of Good Sold based on the traditional System and TDABC are different due
to the imposition of Overhead Costs on each product. TDABC analysis shows that Tape Madu
Jaya Jember is not efficient since the level of optimization of production activities only shows
30%. In other words, the other 70% is an idle capacity that could increase production level.
Company has recognized that the cost of good sold of tape is undervalued. Whereas, for
tape bakar products, dodol tape and suwar suwir, Company has recognized that the cost of
the good sold are overcost (higher). Calculations with TDABC provide more accurate
information regarding consumption of boarding houses. The results can be used to revise
the production cost of each product.

Abstract

Human resources are the company's most important asset because of its role as
the subject of the company's policy and operational activities. The style of
leadership and job satisfaction is a very important factor in the effectiveness of
employee’s performance within the company. So these two indicators cannot be
separated from the sustainability of an organization or company. The purpose of
this study was to determine the direct and indirect influence of transformational
leadership style on employee’s performance and how much influence of job
satisfaction mediate the transformational leadership style on employee’s
performance. This research uses quantitative approach with Proportional
Random Sampling. The sample taken in this study is 109 respondents. The data
are collected through questionnaires, interviews and observations. The data
analysis in this research is using Path Analysis (Path Analysis). From the results of
the study showed that there is a direct effect of magnitude (0.585) and not
directly (2598) transformational leadership style on the employee’s performance
at PT. Victory International Futures Malang. While job satisfaction variable shows
(0.428) the influence of transformational leadership style on employee’s
performance at PT. Victory International Futures Malang.

Abstract

Companies which are less concerned with the employee’s safety and healthy can cause
workplace accidents relating to both issues. Accidents are undesirable and unpredictable of
course, but they can be anticipated. The establishment of safe milieu from any possibilities
of accidents will help the company’s performance. This study aims to determine the effect of
occupational health and safety toward employee’s performance; and to test the role of job
satisfaction as a mediator between occupational health and safety as well as employee’s
performance. This is an explanatory research in which data were collected through
questionnaire and then analyzed it using path analysis. The sample consisted of 50
respondents. The study found that occupational health and safety had no effect on
employee’s performance, and job’s satisfaction could mediate the relationships between
occupational health and safety on employee’s performance.

Abstract

The employees need a good leader as the engine driving the company's activities to achieve
their top performance. The loss of discipline will affect the efficiency and effectiveness of the
employment. If a discipline cannot be enforced, the possibility to achieve goal will not be
performed. Performance reflects how well employees meet job requirements. This research
was conducted at PT. PLN (Persero) Kediri, by taking samples from 50 respondents. The type
of research used is quantitative. Data were collected by questionnaire then is analyzed (path
analysis). The results of this study indicate that leadership directly affects employee’s
performance and work discipline mediates leadership on employee’s performance.

THE ANTECEDENT OF ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT
OF SHARIA BANKING EMPLOYEES

Abstract

Organizational commitment is one of the important concepts in human resource


management. Some organizations conduct a regular survey on employee’s organizational
commitment. Therefore, giving attention to the antecedents of organizational commitment
is very important. This study aims to analyze the antecedents of organizational
commitment, which are meaningful, sense of community, an alignment toward
organizational value, and job involvement in sharia banking employees. The samples of this
study are as many as 142 employees of sharia banking. Descriptive and path analysis are
employed for the research method. The result of the research shows that the meaningful
work and sense of community have a direct as well as indirect positive effect on the
organization commitment. Meanwhile, an alignment toward organizational value has an
indirect positive effect.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurship education and family culture
toward the interest of entrepreneurship through entrepreneurial spirit. This research was
conducted in some colleges in Malang city, using 167 students as a sample. The sampling
technique is using probability sampling, namely simple random sampling. Subsequently, data
collections were analyzed with path analysis. The result of this study shows that
entrepreneurship education has positive and significant impact on the intention of
entrepreneurship; however family culture doesn’t have direct influence. Entrepreneurial
spirit has positive and significant effect on the intention of entrepreneurship. The implication
of this study is that entrepreneurial spirit plays an important role in creating entrepreneurial
spirit and entrepreneurship intention.

COMPETITIVE STRATEGY FOR MICRO, SMALL BUSINESS

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have a significant contribution to


the Indonesian economy, but its development remain many problems such as
marketing difficulties, financial constraints, limited human resources, raw material
issues, technology, management issues and weak partnerships. The purpose of this
research is to know the competitive advantages of tempe chips industry through
Diamond Cluster Models approach; and Analyze the development strategy of
Tempe Sanan chips industry by using SWOT analysis technique by doing internal
analysis (Strength, Weaknesses) and external (Opportunities, Threats). This is a
qualitative research: a type of research that is using descriptive approach where the
object of the research focused on the entrepreneur on tempe Sanan chips industry
which represents subjects based on several criteria such as entrepreneur, business
age, and business activity. The analytical tool is applying Diamond Cluster Models
approach and SWOT analysis. The result of the research shows that by using
Diamond Cluster Models approach, it is obtained that the tempe chips industry has
an advantage on the quality and taste aspects, so that it has the potential to
compete. Of the SWOT approach, it is found that from the internal aspect where
the value of Total Score Weight Strength - Total Score Weak Weight = 1,661 - 0.967
= 0.694 while Total Score Weight Opportunity - Total Threat Weight Score = 1.776 -
1.294 = 0.482, so it can be concluded that the development strategy Tempe chips
industry using SO strategy or aggressive strategy.
