As summer winds down Gold and Silver prices hit new record highs. That is good
news for prospectors and anyone wanting to sell gold. I recently read that Gold pro-
duction from Russia and Africa is flat. With the interest in precious metals increasing
and production flat it sounds like the metals may go higher due to supply shortages.
With the end of the prospecting season in Utah and Idaho upon us maybe now is the
time to start working all of those concentrates that have been in buckets for the past
several seasons.

If you have proven methods of getting Gold out of black sands and other concen-
trates maybe you should share those with our new club members. This month at our
General meeting we are going back to basics. We will have panning tubs and other
small equipment for our members and visitors to check out and discover how fun and
easy it is to pan and find Gold. Please bring your friends and help them discover the
fun and exciting world of Gold Prospecting.

Have a great month.

Tim

I, as Newsletter Editor, would like to personally thank a few people this month for making my
job a little easier! First Cleve Burr from Xerox Corporation, he does all the printing of the
newsletters! And I think he does a great job. If you or your job needs printing done, please
think of the great job that Cleve does for us and maybe call him to help you out with your
printing needs, too. Second, for all of you that get the newsletter by post, notice the stamps
that are being used...they come from the personal collection of David Linton. These are col-
lectors stamps. He gave me a whole bunch of them to use for the newsletters! This saves the
club quite a bit of money for stamps! Thanks Guys!!!

This will be the night that we elect our new officers. This is the one meeting throughout the year that it’s adults

Twelfth Annual A man was lost while driving through the coun-
try. As he tried to read a map, he accidentally
drove off the road into a ditch. Though he was-
n’t injured, his car was stuck deep in the mud.
So the man walked to a nearby farmhouse to
ask for help.
“Warwick can get you out of that ditch,” said
the farmer, pointing to an old mule standing in
a field. The man looked at the haggardly mule
and looked at the farmer who just stood there
repeating, “Yep, old Warwick can do the job.”
