The Test of Time
As tensions mount, assurance comes:
“My children, do not be distressed;
“With trials thick and sorrows great—
“Still, all that comes is for the best.”

The difficulties to be borne

May trigger quite a tear and sigh.
Yet every pain is seen above
With tenderness by watchful eye.

Persecution soon will come—

Against thy fellows bear no grudge.
This world will pass, so keep in mind
Before the door there stands the Judge.

A
The time is short, the signs are clear,
Approaching near the very end.
Our mandate strong, our duty known:
With greater zeal the truth defend!

God’s glory soon will fill this earth

t Eden’s loss there came the news: And then that midnight hour will chime.
Redemption through Messiah’s blood! The prophecies will be fulfilled;
A later man would build an ark— The message bears the test of time.
Forewarned, protected from the Flood.
How reassuring is the thought
And now today, the world is rushing That none of this will come by chance.
More and more with rapid pace. The Master says, “There’s no surprise—
Yet still the Word sends peace and love: “Recall, I told you in advance.”
“For you I have prepared a place.” —B. Monteiro
