A. SURFACE PREPARATION
1. Check that the surface is clean sound and free from oil, grease, laitance and
loose particles.
2. Check that the metal surface are clean and free from rust, oil, grease, and
contaminants.
3. Foundation elevation and orientation is in accordance with the drawing
requirements.
B. FORM WORK
1. Check that the formwork is water tight.
2. Joint sealant is used to close all points where forms meet.
3. Check that the formwork is securely in place.
C. TYPE OF GROUT
1. Check that the grout material used is as per the requirement.
2. The grout material is Masterflow Product 830 or Equivalent Product
D. PRE-SOAKING
1. Verify that the area is flooded with water for enough period prior to placement of
grout.
2. Immediately before the grout is placed all free water should be released from the
area to be grouted.
3. Check that the formwork is securely in place.
E. MIXING
1. Check that the proper mixing tools is used.
2. Check that the mixing ratio is as recommended by the grout manufacturer.
F. APPLICATION
1. Ensure the substrate is prepared according to manufacturer's recommendation.
2. Ensure that there is sufficient air release holes for entrapped air to escape.
3. Ensure that the mortar is continuously poured from one side until completed.
G. CURING
1. Completion of removal of excees grout and cleaning the spillage.
2. Curing of expose areas of grout is done in accordance with the procedure.
