Teacher Note
On the board draw a rough map of the neighborhood, just a few streets and the
campus will do. Ask “Where is the campus?” Have a student come to the board and
point it out. Then ask where a few other landmarks are and have students draw and
label them on your map

Conversation 2
Brad : Sure. Wait, I have a better idea. I'll draw you a map. How's that?
Andy : OK. Let me get you a piece of paper and a pen. Here you are
Brad : (Brad draws a map) This is our apartment. Turn left when you go out the
building. Walk down the street 'till you come an intersection, cross the
intersection. Keep straight for about 200 meters, then turn right. You'll come to
a mosque on the left. Are you with me?
Brad : Pass the mosque and at the corner, turn left. If you cross the zebra crossing,
you'll see Bank National in front of you. The post office is next to the bank.
Easy enough, don't you think so?
Andy : Your map is clear. So I guess I won't have problems finding the post office.
Thanks Brad.
Brad : Anytime.
