Athletics Carnival

The 2018 Athletics Carnival is fast approaching with lunchtime pre-carnival events already underway. The big day is Friday
29th June which is the last Friday of Term 2.

Students will attend connect as per a normal school day but will then descend upon the oval to commence events by 9:15. A
program of events is attached but should only be used as a guide as event times can change.

Students should be getting into the spirit of the day by wearing their house colours (Lawson – red, Paterson – yellow, Evans –
blue and Kendall – green). For a small fee, the year 12’s will also be offering hair spraying and face painting as a fund raiser
for their formal. Sunscreen and drinking water will be available but students should also bring their own.

Students are requested to not bring their laptops. Shade will be provided so tents and eskies should also be left at home.
We would like to extend a warm welcome to any parents or carers who would like to attend the day as spectators. However,
we do request that if spectators have questions or queries on the day that they direct them to Aaron Jefferd, Selena Tainton
and Lauryn Gaunt or the Head of Department, Jeremy Anderson. We hope to see lots of cheering parents and guardians to
help the students have a great day.
