My Imaginary State

Name of State: Kingdom of Erangel

Territory: This state is located near the Black sea on the abandoned military island, which has approximately
640 square kilometers.
Population: There are about 500,005 citizens in the state based on 2017 census. The average age of the
population is around 33.5 years old.
Government: Oligarchy (intellectual). The government is divided into smaller department to manage different
proposition.
Sovereignty: The state has the absolute power to control over their own territory, laws, and their affairs, which
means, there are no other nations that have a power over the state. The state also has a power to control over the
100 meters range from the land to the sea. The state received the recognition from international community as a
member of United Nations.

Yes, because since 1950, on every second week of September, the government allows people to do whatever
they want if those action do not harm others, yet they have to wear the traditional dress so that they could
participate in this events and this became a tradition over 68 years. They also share the same culture which is
the food giving day, people will giving the family’s special food to others family to try in November.

Type of government: This state’s government type is Oligarchy because this small group of people are the
people who have high education.
Effects (or potential effects) of the type of government chosen (at least 1 paragraph - 5 sentences): This type
of government makes the citizens have to obey the order from the government. The state will be more organized
due to the strict rules from the governors. People in the society will be more peaceful and there will be less
problem. However, this system limits the separation of power because it is just the group of government that
has a sovereignty. People have less freedom to do things, as they can’t question the government which means
they have less freedom of speech. This type of government could lead to a corruption in its own government.

Type of State: Unitary State

Effects (or potential effects) of the type of State chosen (at least 1 paragraph - 5 sentences): All powers are
centralized by the central government. This means that people in the state have less freedom so the citizens that
have an IQ score at the least of 143 can give an opinion to the government to improve the society. These people
can exercise in the government for 2 terms and the other people that have an IQ lower than that will have less
power but also get the opportunity to vote for the administrator to work in the government but it will only count
⅕ of the whole election, which means the government holds ⅘ of the power to elect the candidate. By having
the intellectual class rule, the society will develop and improve more in many ways, for example, economic,
politics, international relations, and education, because the state is governed by the people who have
knowledge. The problems that might happen are the some citizens that have less knowledge might question or

Montesquieu

Effects (at least 1 paragraph - 5 sentences): This state follows Montesquieu’s idea because the government is
divided into many different sector and they seperate power to deal with various types of ministry. The state also
tends to have little separating powers to citizens by letting some of the citizens to participate in the government
activities. The disadvantage of this is that there can have corruptions in the state. The opposition can try to rebel
against the current government. It also leads to the argument in the different ideas of decisions making. This
way, the citizens will not gain any benefit due to the unlimited power of the government.
Hobbes, Locke, or Rousseau

Effects (at least 1 paragraph - 5 sentences): The ideas of this government are most similar between Hobbes
and Rousseau. The reason is that the government wants people to live together in peace and have no conflict.
They are nevertheless a selfish creature who can find their way to not get caught. Therefore, the government is
the place that will punish the one who commits the crime by sending them to the prison. In the meantime, the
government also believes that they could improve their moral, like how they ban the chemical experiment. The
government focuses on more to educate the people who did the wrong things to learn more about morals in the
prison.
Authoritarianism or Libertarianism (government power)

Effects (at least 1 paragraph - 5 sentences): This government’s idea is similar to authoritarianism. The
government has no limitation of power because it holds all the power to itself. It has the power to decide
whether something is right or wrong and it also regulates every aspect of the public and private department. The
citizens cannot choose freely so this made the state lack mobilizing ideas from people.The advantage of this can
be the faster in lawmaking process, transportation, and other development projects because there will be less
opinion to object the ideas.
Socialism or Liberalism (economics)

and then describe how this can or will affect its citizens)
Effects (at least 1 paragraph - 5 sentences): Socialism is the best one to define this state’s economics. The
government have complete power to command the state’s economy which means individuals will not be
associated in the economic field and there will be no free market. They will have to pay tax to the government
in order to get the full services and welfare from the government. People in this state will have no gap between
social classes so they will have the equal resources. The citizens are expected to be educated, by paying taxes,
they could go to school for free. However, people will have no motivation to work. The products and the quality
of it will appear to be most likely the same because the government will decided about them all, so the citizens
cannot apply their ideas individually.
