Timeframe / Dates of Initiative: The timeframe for these lessons/sessions is 6 school days. It is a hybrid
course, including both online elements, as well as daily face-to-face meetings.

Short Description of Initiative (limit one paragraph): In the fourth grade, students spent a unit learning
about fractions (unit 4). The following unit is the one began in this Online Facilitation Plan on Decimal
Relations. It directly ties to the previous unit due to the connections the students and curriculum makes
between fractions and decimals. Students will explore decimals through videos, discussions, face-to-face
meetings, and more. The goal of these sessions

There are a number of overarching objectives that are applicable to each week. They are:
● Relating fractions with denominators of 10 and 100 to decimals in the tenths and hundredths
● Understanding place value from the millions to the thousandths
● Represent decimals and fractions with visual models
● Represent the different forms of decimals and fractions
