100% load.

3. No local code requirements specified.

4. No maximum tank size requirements are specified.

B. Tank Accessory Requirements

1. No special requirements are specified for the bottom of the tank except as dictated by local codes.

detection.

6. No fill alarm panel is required for this project unless required by local codes.

7. No tank heater is required for this project.

8. No special emergency vent configuration is required except as deem necessary by local codes.

9. No special normal vent configuration is required except as deem necessary by local codes.

10. No stairs or platforms are required for this project unless deemed necessary by local code or
NEC requirement (top of breaker panel higher than 6' 6" above grade).

11. No day tank controls or components are required for this project.

secondary leak detection alarm switch shall also be provide and wired to the generator annunciator panel.

1. The above ground sub-base diesel fuel tank design shall be certified by Underwriters Laboratory per
ULC142 for Canada. Tanks shall be leak tested @ 5 psi minimum per the standard. The tank structure shall
be sufficiently designed to support the generator, enclosure, and any accessories required. The tank shall
include provisions to allow for anchoring to a concrete pad. Normal and emergency venting shall be provided
per UL142 requirements. A mechanical fuel gauge shall be required with electrical fuel level feedback to the
generator annunciator panel. Fire rated fuel lines shall be installed from tank ports to the generator. A primary
tank low level switch and secondary leak detection alarm switch shall also be provide and wired to the
generator annunciator panel.

1. The above ground fire rated sub-base diesel fuel tank design shall be certified by Underwriters Laboratory
per UL2085 for the United States. Impact material shall be incorporated into the exterior wall of the tank
design around a UL142 fuel tank. Tanks shall be leak tested @ 3 psi minimum per the standard. The tank
structure shall be sufficiently designed to support the generator, enclosure, and any accessories required. The
tank shall include provisions to allow for anchoring to a concrete pad. Normal and emergency venting shall be
provided per UL142 requirements. A mechanical fuel gauge shall be required with fuel level feedback to the
generator annunciator panel. Fire rated fuel lines shall be installed from tank ports to the generator. A primary
tank low level switch and secondary leak detection alarm switch shall also be provide and wired to the
generator annunciator panel.
No UL certification is required for this tank.

1. Visual inspection channels shall be incorporated on the bottom of the tank to provide a minimum of 2"
clearance for leak detection and rust prevention.
1. A mastic coating shall be applied to the bottom of the tank for rust prevention.
1. No special requirements are specified for the bottom of the tank except as dictated by local codes.

2. Diamond plate flooring shall be installed on top of the tank in all the walkways. The tank design shall
eliminate all trip hazards in these walkways - the generator & enclosure weight shall be supported by internal
tank structure (I-beams or channels on top of the tank will not be acceptable).
2. A flat sheetmetal surface is required on top of the tank in the walkways. The tank design shall eliminate all
trip hazards in these walkways - the generator & enclosure weight shall be supported by internal tank structure
(I-beams or channels on top of the tank will not be acceptable).

3. The tank design shall incorporate a 5 gallon spill container to collect fuel from overfill and drips during tank
filling. A lockable 2" fill cap shall also be provided inside the spill box. A drain port shall be provided in the
bottom of the spill container.
