escape when their air-
craft’s wheels hit a
perimeter wall during

hours of Friday, officials
said.
The plane, with 136 pas-
sengers and crew mem-
bers on-board, continued
for Dubai and was eventu-
ally diverted to Mumbai
after Trichy airport offi-
cials reported to the pilots
that the aircraft might
have come in contact with
a wall.
Nobody was hurt in the
incident and the aircraft
landed in Mumbai at 5.35
am.

these markets. Hence they
were trying to find out how
it is being sent out from
India.” According to sources,
the agencies were collabo-
rating from the UK and India
to understand their modus
operandi and the manner in
which the drugs were trans-
ported from different states

A man with a speech disability
died under suspicious condi-
tions at his home in Addagu-
dur in the Rachakonda commi-
ssionerate limits on Thursday.
The deceased Komaraiah’s
family alleged that the deceas-
ed’s wife Komaramma and her
paramour Eedaiah killed him.
According to the Addagudur
police, Komaraiah, a labourer,
married his elder sister’s
daughter Komaramma about
15 years ago. Komaraiah had a
speech disability by birth. The
couple has three children, and
all are studying in a local gov-
ernment school.
For quite some time, Komar-
amma was reportedly involved
in an extramarital relationsh-
ip and Komaraiah caught th-
em red-handed when they we-
re moving closely at his house.
He then informed the elders in
the village and held a panchay-

last one week, Komaraiah was
suffering from ill-health.
On Thursday, he was found
dead in front of his home.
Addagudur sub-inspector P.
Shivanaga Prasad said,
“Komaraiah was found dead
with a head injury. Though
reports emerged that he was

awaiting post-mortem reports
to proceed further in the case.
If it is found that he was mur-

In a major relief to AP Chief
Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu,
a court in Dharmabad,
Maharashtra, has exempted him
from personal appearance in a
case related to a protest he led at
the Babli project site in 2010. The
court also cancelled the non-bail-
able warrant issued against Mr
Naidu while disposing of his
recall petition.
Now Mr Naidu need not attend
court in the Babli case until
charges are framed against him
by the police. The court issued
the orders after almost one and a
half hours of arguments.
Supreme Court advocate Sandeep
Luthra appeared on behalf of Mr
Naidu.
Mr Naidu’s advocates argued
that he had not received any sum-
mons or bailable warrant until
then in the case and expressed
surprise that he was issued an
NBW straight away. They also
said that they came to know that
the case existed only through the
media as until now they had not
received any summons related to
the case.
They also cited examples of
Supreme Court orders in such
cases in the past. While agreeing
with the arguments of the advo-
cates, the Dharmabad court
judge accepted the recall petition
and another petition to exempt
Mr Naidu from personal appear-
ance on October 15.
