b) PROPOSED G+M WAREHOUSE (ELECTRONIC STORE),G+M SHOWROOM,G+1 OFFICE & G+2 LABOR
ACCOM.
Please confirm whether these are Sample projects or Projects for which we would be
performing the design and detailing.
3) We need to confirm the codes to be used for the projects in Qatar typically.
They may most probably be British or Euro codes. However sometimes American codes
may also be preferred. Hence we need to confirm this.
This is a 194m long (around 636 ft.) X 53m wide (174 ft.) medical supplies G+2
workshop/ store building with an Eave height of 16m (52.5 ft.). Adjoining this
warehouse is a 22.2m long (72.5 ft.) X 53m wide (174 ft.) G+2 office building.
As per the Architectural drawings, the G+2 office building is a concrete framed
building with reinforced concrete beams, columns and slabs and internal and
external brick walls and a flat terrace roof. Please confirm that this will not be
in our scope of work. Also, this building may be proposed with steel framing and
composite slab with conventional hot rolled steel columns and beams if necessary to
include it in our scope (given the option).
The G+2 workshop/ store building has external metal panel siding all around after
the bottom 3.5m which is made of CMU blockwork, as shown in the architectural
drawings with a maximum height of 18m (59 ft.).
This entire building is divided into 6 areas, i.e. Final products store, Adhesive
workshop, Bandage workshop, Gauze workshop, Diapers workshop and Cotton workshop,
each separated by a partition wall.
Secondary framing supporting roof and wall panels can be cold formed Z or C purlins
and girts or Hot rolled conventional C shapes as per the specifications and design.
The first and second floors could be a composite floor decking or precast slab
supported on 30m long secondary open web joists (truss) spanning which in turn
would be framing into a 53m (174 ft.) long primary open web joist (truss) in turn
supported by the column of the Rigid frame, so as to achieve an interior column
free layout. Conventional steel beams 53m span would not be feasible to support the
flooring.
5) PROPOSED G+M WAREHOUSE (ELECTRONIC STORE),G+M SHOWROOM,G+1 OFFICE & G+2 LABOR
ACCOM.
The main scope of the project as per drawings appears to be of two distinct parts:-
Warehouse 1 is clearly shown as a PEB building with a width of 36.90m (121 ft.)
with interior columns and a total length of around 36 m (118 ft.) and eave height
of 10.3 m (33.8 ft.). Primary Rigid frames with interior columns have been shown to
be spaced at 7.18 m maximum spacing (23.5 ft.) which falls within the standard bay
spacing of PEB structures. Mezzanine floor could be planned as a composite floor
supported on open web joist framing between the interior and exterior Rigid frame
columns. The walls and roof will be metal roofs
Warehouse 2 is also a PEB building ith a width of 42.4m (139 ft.) with interior
columns and a total length of around 40.1 m (132 ft.) and eave height of 10.3 m
(33.8 ft.).Other framing details are common to warehouse 1.
The Right end wall of warehouse 1 and Left endwall of warehouse 2 are designed as a
common partition wall separating the two warehouses.
