Pure Dog Agility is designed to provide dogs and their handlers a safe and enjoyable form of the
sport of agility.
Pure supports dog agility as a competitive sport, while striving to protect and advance the
interests of dog agility by encouraging sportsmanlike competition and responsible ownership.
A variety of divisions and games offers something for everyone! The goal is to maintain an
environment that tests dog and handler teams with appropriate challenges while combining speed,
accuracy, distance and teamwork.
2 TRIALS
The purpose of a Pure Dog Agility Trial is to demonstrate the ability of a dog and it’s handler to
work as a smoothly functioning team. The dog should be under control at all times and show a
willingness to work with the handler. Handlers should always conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike
fashion. Handlers should have the health and welfare of their canine partner as their priority. It is the
handler’s responsibility to have a dog adequately trained to a level in which the dog will respond to
commands and preform obstacles in a safe manner.
3 Eligibility
All healthy, trained dogs 15 months and over are eligible to compete in the PURE Dog Intro
Jumpers, Hoops and Tunnellers classes. In order to compete in the Regular Agility and Snooker Classes,
dogs must be 18 months and older. Bitches in heat are allowed to compete and must wear panties
inside the building on the turf. PURE wants to accommodate special needs dogs with quieter scheduled
times and less people. We want ALL dogs to compete and succeed!
All dogs must register with PURE Dog Agility (to obtain a Dog ID number) prior to entering a trial.
PURE Dog ID Registration Form.pdf
Any dog entering FEO (for exhibition only) does not need an ID number, but cannot place or qualify.
4 PURE Dogs clients will be measured before trials during class times. If you have a measurement
from another association, you may use that measurement to determine what height your dog will jump.
Measurement can be available on Trial days if needed. Pure Dogs can assign a qualified person to
measure dogs. Permanent height should not be determined until a dog is 2yrs of age and older.
5.1 LEVELS
The INTRO Level is an introductory level for every class. The INTRO level is for any dog which has

5.3 Categories
Each Class will be split into two Categories, Proficient and Skilled. A dog may be entered in one
category per weekend trial
In the Proficient Category, dogs must jump their ‘measured’ jump height (what we would
consider as a regular jump height for that dog), per the current jump height table
In the Skilled Category dogs must jump a height lower then they are required to jump in the
Proficient category and will receive the benefit of additional time for that jump height. If the dog is also
a Veteran or if there is Jr. Handler, they can jump another 4” lower for a combined 8” and received the
allotted times for the corresponding jump heights.
