HENRY FORD
sabido combinar tres factores decisivos.
HENRY FORD
American industrial. Founder of the Ford Motor Company and father of the modern
production lines used for mass production.
Henry Ford was born on a farm near Dearborn, Michigan, on July 30, 1863, and
attended public schools, as a child he showed great enthusiasm and exceptional gifts
for mechanics.
He started working as a child in a machine shop in Detroit. Then he studied
engineering, becoming the chief engineer of Edison Iluminating.
He created the most popular car that has ever existed, the famous model T, which sold
10 million units from 1908 to 1924, then surpassed other models such as the V-8 that
also achieved great diffusion.
With just 16 years, in 1878, Henry Ford ran away from home to go to Detroit, intending
to work as a mechanic, which was soon achieved when admitted to a small machine
shop, the Detroit Automobile Company.
Henry Ford spent most of his free time, building what would be his first horseless car,
which ended up in the small workshop he had in his house in 1896. It was a four-
wheeled vehicle dragged by an engine. two cylinders and four-stroke, cooled with
water and without reverse.
In 1903, when he was forty years old, he decided to found his own company, the Ford
Motor Company, where he could implement his purpose and build a standard, serial
model.
From the strictly business point of view, the secret of Henry Ford was the ability to
combine three decisive factors.
1. The first was the standardization and mass production of all the parts that made
up the vehicle.
2. The second factor was the concession to their workers of quite high salaries of
five dollars a day, which achieved two purposes at the same time:
